Hi all,

I really dont have a clue on this 4-wheel alignment apart from I dont think red number are great:lol:

I had mounted Bilstein b14 coilover kit, and today, (14 days after) had it aligned.
After mounting my summer tyres, stock LCR rims + Pilot Sport 3, if I let go of the steering wheel it dives to the right side.

So I thought a aligment was in place, however, it does not seems like they have fixed anything. Definitely not the "diving" to the right.

Here is the paper, with some translations, as it was danish.

it looks to me like they havent changed anything you need to get the camber on the front left sorted soon as it will wear out he inside of your tyre pretty quick with readings like that

But people says they camber cant bed adjusted? So what can I do to change it?

thats right on all other mk4 cars but cupra-r, S3 and TT you can adjust the camber on the ball-joins, the 3 nuts lose them and you can move the ball-joint in and out.

i know as i have upgradet my car to the cupra-r setup. the garage that did the alignment clearly dont know how to do this.

if i where you i would go back fast and say to them do it again, and this time do it right, and then tell them that the camber for sure can be adjusted on you ball joint.

Is that the three nuts right under the brake discs?

yes you can see them on this picture, the holes are longer then normal, so you can move them some if you have to adjust camber.

it is common knowledge here in denmark that the mk4 cars (golf/a3/octavia/leon) that you cant change the camber, and there is not that many S3/TT/Leon Cupra-R that people know this, they just do it the same way as it was a plain normal leon or golf, if you know what i mean.

Ahh i see it, so they just missed some adjustment, as they said they werent able to do so!

Thanks a million!

According to VW Group's internal document, León Cupra R: Technical insight No. 04, page 11:

"The suspension tie rod is joined to the control arm by three slots, making it possible to adjust the camber angle on both wheels."

to be fair its not too bad,

if i gave you a focus would you know if it had camber adjustment or not, as a garage you dont always know that something is adjustable, and to be fair, on most systems the sports models like the lcr only come under sports suspension and some settings are not told.

your camber is not miles out also, there both close to each other and dont forget you will be a little lower which will cause a bit mre - camber, which also makes it driver a bit better too :)

your steering wheel is it stright? or is it off, usually when you feel the car pulls then its because they did not set the wheel strigh then adjust the toe.

I see, but the one are minus and other is plus, that cant be good

sorry read it wrong, used to reading across from our hunter not under, yep ones well out,

did you replace the topmount bushes?

Well, went down today and complained about the work. Even though I had the print out from Elsawin describing how to do the job, they wasnt sure they were able to adjust it.

So I just went beserk and told them if they was so unsure, I didnt want them to do anymore work on my car.

Apart from that I also got refund og my exhust correction, as it wasnt done properly, and the guy just told me. "I wouldnt care on my own Polo from 96" . How does that help me? LOL

Ohh...Apart from that, the mechanic sad directly on the Recaro support, so it knackered and went out of shape. They refused to fix it. So definitely a bad start on a friday!

Once again, had the car aligned at another place.

Really dont know what to think of it.. apart from the camber on left side, was 1.02 dg when he started, and ended up as 1.12 dg. So its out of range, but really dont know how much it wear and tears on the tyres.
