Seen these letters today on my engine is this engine any good whats the diffrence between them all just wondering thats all.

Ahhh ok i see lot of diffrence then between them all is the facelift 180 exactly the same as the older models just diffrent bodykit.

AUQ is the 180 BHp engine you would expect to find in a Leon Cupra.

AUM is a 150 BHp engine that appears in VWs, Audis and Skodas but not Seats

BAM is the 225 BHP engine most often found in LCR's

APP was on older cars (badged as a T Sport) after 2000 changed to vvt and AUQ.

Bumper changed in 02/03 along with other revisions on interior options and the car lost some of its toys.

So the older cupra is a better buy then even though they dont look as nice.

Interior wise yes. Prefacelifts had options for full leather, memory seats, auto dipping rear view mirror, auto reversing mirrors, rain sensitive wipers.

Not really sure about this "dont look as nice" bit.. My car isnt fugly:censored::ban:;)

They do make a very good sleeper and are rarely noticed by anyone unless you want it to be. Just make sure youve got the AUQ engine as it will map better than the non vvt APP.:)
