After reading that link I think if the price is right ill be having one for mine, that's got some serious power ha ha and ill be all over the ed30 at inters having a look

What sort of other supporting mods are needed? And is it bolt onto standard pipes fixings and manifold downpipe etc?

Fek me!!!! If this is safe with no internal upgrade needed it is definately a viable option for the 400+BHP mark then!!!!!! Getting a little excited here.........

There are people running 500hp+ on bone stock motors with a GT30 kit on a ko4 based lump for over a year now, no reported issues, but I'm not sure I'd do it to mine.

If you want to run the engine at over 440hp I'd do internals. The ko3 based boys will deffo have to do internals with this turbo.

At the very least I would be bolting down the head pretty tight as the head gaskets have been known to go on the higher power cars. Not sure I would do 500bhp either on a standard engine. The idea that the engine is safe to xxxbhp is a lot of :w4nk: in my opinion. Several have gone as standard up to 360bhp.

yeah i would be putting stronger head studs in at the very least, i would prob buy another engine and rebuild with forged pistons and rods etc. then drop that in with the turbo fitted etc.

As i use mine daily, i think 430bhp would be enough to be honest.

Ouch, thats almost apr stage 3 money?

Hmm still tempting haha or would i be better spending the money changing suspension arb's LSD's so i can use all the power?

Yeah Loba's not cheap, but you get what you pay for, pure quality. Gotta pay to play.

Cant wait to see torque curves of this motor

In all honesty, both lol

While the software would be tractable by reducing power output low down, you'd still need some mods to put the power down.

I would image a Loba hybrid would see much less lag than a big turbo kit. You might have to change your tuner though...
