Carbon door wrap on LCR

Hi

Has anyone ever removed the carbon fibre wrap between the front and rear doors? If so what did it look like and is it possible to get it re-wrapped.

Mine is all faded/discoloured and as I'm getting the whole car blown over soon I'm wondering what to do with this bit of trim.

There is someone on ebay selling carbon fibre wrap cut to size for these imo it looks good

I covered mine in Carbon vinyl,to cover the original faded black(LC model),i didn't remove original vinyl,just covered it..a transformation & easy enough to do.

I did my Toledo the same way, the vinyl that was already there was looking extremely old. A metre of vinyl cost me a few pounds, it was easy to apply over the top of the original vinyl, and I'm really happy with it.

yeah they both look really good, do you think i should remove the wrap so they dont end up masking round, get it re-sparyed then re-wrap it myself?

This is without. Mine were faded and I had carbon wrap to fit on instead, but I prefer without to be fair...
Polished up the paint is mind underneath... Bit of a nightmare getting the old sticky off, but a bit of persistance with white spirit worked...
Probably works better on a black car though..

Everyone tore the side stickers off their Renault 5 gt turbos years ago and now they are trying to reproduce the stickers to make it oe. I bet in 20 years time everyone will be refitting theirs to the Leon.

U just wind the window down, pull the rubber surround off the vinyl, no need to remove it completely.
Start by getting to the top corner which is on the inside of the door.
Pull down and it will come of slowly.
It takes some force and may break, but just keep restarting. It's like a plastic material.
Leaves a sticky residue on the paint which u then get off with white spirit. A bit messy, but well worth it..

Use a hair dryer it will rip the lacquer off the car if your paints crap
