Hi,

It's been a few day's I've had my LC, but it needs a bit of work doing to it such as service, rear brakes and secondary air pump rivet replacement with bolts. Can anyone recommend a trustworthy garage in leicester?

Any local's with VCDS who can give mine a quick scan to see if anything needs doing?

Also anyone local with a remapped 180bhp leon?

Hello mate welcome :) i know of some one in oadby who has vagcom i can suggest? Unfortunatly i don't own a leon but have a standard 180bhp boc :D
 
I can do if you like bud, & im in Leicester too... I have a 225 Cupra R with MAP and friend of mine has a 180 Cupra with MAP.

Thanks for the responses guys, Jdub, I may take your offer up if your free at some point. Johny, do you run a garage?

Bought the car on Sunday, has low miles 66k, but it needs oil change ASAP so I think I may get it done tomorrow if I get the chance. Impressed with the car do far. Wanted the 225bhp, but though this would be a good stepping stone. Will get some castrol edge 5w30 to replace the current stuff in there & a basic oil filter & air filter for now.

Car has been booked in at seat Leicester to have the coil packs checked, see if they need replacing under the recall. After that will get some new spark plugs, then look to get the brakes done.

Then will look into a forge 007 & remap as soon as I get bored of the power. New clutch was put in 15k miles ago so should still be in good nick.

Don't see many LC & LCR's in Leicester. :s
 
Haha thanks mate :) where in leicester are you from? Ive seen a couple of LCs one was fully blacked out and booting it sounded very nice! but like you said not to many they do look very nice though :D need to get posting so you can put some pics up of the car! ;)

Oh and there is a loughborough meet once a month, I've not been yet but looks quiet good and planning to go soon! :D

Oh I do have a black one but it's totally standard at the moment. Want to make sure car is running well before i make any mods I quite like it the way it is. Needs a wash and a clean though. I'm not too far from DMU Uni. How about yourself?

Ahh i will keep a eye out for you i drive through there at work quiet a bit, will be in a big yellow van though not the boc :( haha I'm from wigston area mate so not that far myself :)

Cool give me a shout, i do more or less all the work on my/friends cars. In the process of fitting clutch, servo, MC, brakes etc to my LCR. Free tomorrow onwards bud ;)

There was one BOC like yours that went through two gearboxes and one bottom end etc Guess he abuses his :lol:

Haha thats a good list there! Ner my gearbox seems sound as ever :) just the oil usage but i think thats sorting itself out tbf and this misfire from cold business as seat said it was there then when it went in to be repaired they said theres no misfire :| haha
