Great day Tom, nice to catch up with you and will defo have to make a few more meets with you lot. Winter should bring a few changes for my little machine so I'll get a build up going again.

You weren't the only one with a problematic car that day, I think the hot weather & dyno killed my high pressure fuel pump completely :D. To be fair it was on its last legs before the day but as it was due warranty replacement on the Tuesday I saw no problem with it, I have BMW assist + RAC home recovery. You know how every car has their problem component? Well the N54 engine in the BMW suffers from HPFP failure, starts with ever increasing long cranks on cold start, then extends to warm starts, then misfires and drops cylinders. By the end of the day I had all of that but she's back and running sweetly again.

Interesting to see that you made 286bhp on the day when yours consitently pulls 300-310bhp on those same rollers on a colder day. Just goes to show you how much of a b@stard heat is for a turbocharged engine. I'd be very interested to see what I could pull in mine on a colder day but sadly I won't be able to compare next time around as it'll be at the next stage of tune (Stage 1+ or Stage 2+).

how much you spent doin all that and is it really at 309bhp ?

Course it bloody is this site's different to others it ain't full of blaggers saying they got 300bhp out of there saxos. A lot of time effort and money has been spent on his car and has dyno results to back it up.

Exactly that. It's a lovely car. No expense spared!

Yeah likewise mate was good to catchup as usual :D Great to see your new ride and it's much sweeter in person than the pic I saw.. I like those a lot! Will be good to see more of it if we can get a few more meets sorted soon for sure. Look forward to the changes on your car, I know it will be to a good standard as always.

Sorry to hear about the fuel pump failure but all cars have their issues as you and me both know. Good to know of these issues though as you imagine all these newer German cars are faultless now but it's not always the case. Glad she's all sorted now. The heat was a killer on that day wasn't it!

The heat really did pull the car back, but the temps inside AmD's workshop and in and around the rollers was insane, I was actually very pleased with 286bhp and again the highest stage 2 on the day..:whistle: lol. It's a shame you won't be able to compare like for like next time but bring the car down anyway! Would love to see what it's doing at that stage of tune! Look forward to seeing you and the car again soon mate.

Thousands, but I've never added it all up as I would probably cry. I might one day though.

It's made over 300 on very cold days and we only get 2-3 months where it's at that level so most of the year round it's a tough below but it's not far off it has all the mods in place and is run to a very picky standard.. :)

Cheers Ben. Plenty of all of the above have gone into the car, I am happy with how it is from when I bought it.

Exactly that. It's a lovely car. No expense spared!

Thanks Kaz :D

Personally I think it's 308 bhp or thereabouts ;)

Sent from my iPhone when I should be working....

Not much going on at the moment..

As in the title really, I've had my holiday away clubbing in Ibiza and now I'm back it's time to finish up some big mods over the coming mods but for now nothing has really been done since I've been back... I ordered one of these today though:

http://www.awesomegti.com/car/seat/leon1m/42-draft-designs-o2-sensor-spacer

IMO the best decat spacer you can buy, as my other one was a dodgey fit sadly. Annoying that my EML light comes up now and again but this will sort it once and for all. So with that on order I've decided that the clutch can last a bit longer yet. So I will be booking in the car to have every single bush replaced with a Superpro version at AmD fairly soon. Can't wait as mine are pretty perished now, and considering all the handling mods are in place I should really get to feel the difference between dead OE bushes and new decent poly one's.

Clutch will be done after this for sure then the car will be in much better shape for weekend blasts.

I was on a couple of sites today looking at wheels and may fancy a change a bit further into the winter. The one's I have in mind aren't out of this world money and are decent proven wheels which would also be great for track... 10 rep points for whoever can guess what they are ;) Oh and EL or DK can't play as they know, lol..

In other news, I will be at Players 6.0 show next weekend on Sunday with DK EL Doctor Gonzo and a few others I believe in what will probably be the last turnout of the season. Should be good and once again I'll be hoping for decent weather! If anyone is considering coming along then do it! :)

Cheers mate. :)

A few of us are meeting at a garage in the morning just up the road from the show so we go in the entrance in convoy. I'll dig it out and text it to you if you fancy it.

Mini update

Ordered some neoprene black ducting last night off ebay. 76mm aka 3 inch to make up a cold air feed from near the fog to my JR cone.

Not sure if it will make much difference at all, always been dubious about it but it's a cheap buy so if it doesn't work much then meh! :)
