Alloy gators!

Guys,

My rims are going in for a full refurb tomorrow at The Wheel Specialist in Birmingham.

I went in there today n saw they sell a product called 'Alloy Gators' that wrap found the edge of the rim to protect it from kerb damage. £100 fitted.

Anyone got these on their wheels? Heard any stories? Opinions etcetc?!

I currently have them gloss black, they are gettin redone matt black, n was thinking a yellow rim!

Any replies appreciated.

I thought about that....but watched a video on fitting them.......don't fancy hittin my car with a hammer...plus 2 birds 1 stone to get them fitted when the wheels get re furbed ?

I suppose so....but where I live parking is so gash n u get idiots in my lane forcing u wide lol!

I'll decide when I drop my car in tomorrow n post pics if I go thru with it!!

They're quite a good idea but won't do much against a high kerb no matter how careful you are. My tyres already give some protection to the rims (which has been quite handy going into the local Tescos!).

They look dead easy to do, though, surely you'd be better fitting them yourself? Plus what colour? Them yellow ones look awful!

Definitely yellow!! They look good against the black....but I'm massively undecided!
