Mucking around putting my hids in my LCR and tested the first hid and it wasnt working. So i put the original bulb in and now thats not working, tried another bulb and still nothing :( Iv checked the fuses and they are fine. Anyone got other ideas??

i assume you put a HID kit in and not just the bulb?
and then when you fitted the original bulb you reverted back to stock power feed? (it just reads a bit like you have just swapped bulbs.)

first check: fuse for headlights?

Yes mate i fitted the whole kit on just one headlight and that didnt work, so i took it all apart and put it back to standard. Checked both headlight fuses next to the steering column and they were fine. Im a bit confused with this one:confused:

Right iv pulled out the relevant fuses and they are all good, im wondering if iv done something with the wiring, is it possible to melt it??

Iirc if you put to much power threw the cables then yes they can melt the cable.

Does your other headlight work or have they both gone?

I have read a thread exactly like this before, they fixed it by disconecting the battery for 15 mins then reconected and all was well. The faulty ballast confused the ECU.
