I have just had the windows tinted on my Leon. However the company said they could not tint the little windows where the passenger handle is because they are plastic. I have been to another company to see about getting vinyl put on them and they said they didn't know if it would stick.

I have also spoke to Seat themselves and to replace those windows with factory tinted ones its £180 each.

Does anyone have any other ways this could be done?

Yeah.. I used black matte vinyl on them and people couldn't even notice they were there! I mean, it made the door handle even more difficult to handle, it was pretty fun watching friends or family members look for where the door handle actually is! Ha ha..

I am not sure if I have removed them or not because I remove the tint itself, but if I didn't I'll take a couple of pictures for you. Bear in mind I've had them for a very long time and we've been through some horrible weather changes over there so they're certainly not as good as they used to be. I can tell you, though, black vinyls look perfect on those plastic parts; you just use vinyl and a heatgun and you're done!

Hi, thanks for your advice I will look into this method. The bloke I spoke to about using vinyl said it was more for the labour than the parts.

Hi. I had the same issue. Tried vinyl and wasn't too keen. Normal tint film isn't flexi enough to adhere without getting massive 'fingers' which won't go away. There are two other options - you can get rear light tinting film which is really flexi and with a bit if messing about you could get to work or - the option I chose - tinting spray. If you just tint the outside, you will still see a smokey effect when you look out from the inside. I'm not too bothered. From the outside it looks the dogs danglies. Well happy

I had my windows tinted a couple of weeks ago and was told the same thing. They couldn't do the back side windows. Halfords have a spray called "Halfords Flexible Vinyl Paint Black". Does anyone know if this is good enough to use?

Thanks

Hi thanks for your help. By any chance do you have a photo I could look at?
