Good choice you made by not purchasing the singlemass flywheel Jc. "Enviromently friendly" LOL
Singlemass flywheel has its problems if you don't upgrade the bearings on the box it self. What I have found was that the singlemass increases the bearing presure on the gearbox and will eventually sieze an upgraded bearing will be advised when you install the singlemass flywheel.

i had the SMF kit in my FR TDI previous and after a few days it felt really nice, that nice that when i put the OEM kit back in it, it felt pants
Hate to disappoint you mate but that Sachs kit won't give you oem feel.
I've had 2 Sachs kits, 1 in my last car and the one in my R. Great clutch for handling the power/torque but definitely not oem feel unless yours is already very heavy and has a slight judder and smells when manoeuvring or reversing up an incline.
Agree with that completely, but I found the weight issue didn't last long - I got used to it very quickly and it doesn't bother me a bit now. The occasional smell when reversing with a few too many revs is irritating though. However, the complete lack of slip more than compensates!
Thanks for the feedback guys. Feedback I have had suggested that with the DMF i should have relative OEM feel. Not too bothered if the clutch is a little heavier anyway as I only really use the car on week-ends.
Yeah great capabilities for the cost.
I'm kind of used to the weight of it although in stop start traffic it becomes annoying.
When I jump into the wife's diesel Leon I almost put the clutch pedal through the floor as its so much lighter.
Yeah the clutch smell when reversing when some revs are needed is embarrassing tbh.
Then as you say when pushing on you know a stock clutch wouldn't last.

Just read this is up for sale. If this was white I'd be seriously interested as its exactly what I'm looking for.
I was originally looking at a white one myself Eck but they are pretty rare and when I sw this one I jumped at it. It is a stunning colour and many folk have commented on the colour when they have seen it.
Keeping the DMF mate. I just bought the clutch and cover plate. I don't need a SMF as I am not ragging the crap out of the car and live in London too so want to keep it as OEM as possible.
