Got a cheap VAG-COM cable. While doing needle sweep change this error came up after clicking 'DO IT'.
Anyone know what it means..

This is a default code Ross-Tec use.. click yes

Oh. that I knew my problem is that when I choose staging, it tells me Error Module not available. I have A 2012 1.8 tsi with the COPA + package (gives me the MFD in the left binnacle )

Perhaps my cable isn't food enough. I only paid about 20 £

Don't think it's anything to do with the cable. It looks like your car is not compatible for needle sweep, not all cars are.
Once I clicked yes mine worked ok. My car is a supercopa.
I only payed £20 for my cable.

My leon FR 170CR July/2010 gives me this exact error either i pick yes or no.

Any idea of what to do to activate the needle sweep?

Thanks

NO... I have the 12.10.3, more recent cable don't exist.

The solution: just keep trying till it accepts the activation. (read in onother forum)

In my case it works at 8th try.

My next door neighbor got it working on his 2010. He was at a meetup of Leon owners and someone there had an ORIGINAL cable (costs a few hundred bucks). That worked first time. My cable only cost me $25 so I guess you get what you pay for ;)

Either way, and on an unrelated issue, just swapped my springs for Eibach ProKits. Damn. I should have done that the first day. The car drives like a dream now! Totally recommend picking up a set ASAP.
