Mine made 275bhp on AMD rollers and just over 260bhp on another on just a stage 1 map. Tbh I'm not bothered because it's "dyno lottery" but my first RR can be the bench mark for me as I'm now ready for stage 2 after I fit my FMIC. It will just be used as a comparison for me so I can see how much MY car has progressed.

Well said Charlie.

This is exactly how I've come along with mine in the 3 years I've had it. Countless dyno runs but it's the same set of rollers. I can compare from previous runs. Especially with my bigger fmic it was a good comparison with torque top end going up again. It's simple benchmarking.

Like Darren says, dyno's are a complete lottery comparing to others. Use the same one's and go from there. There are still way too many people getting silly and immature about comparing a set of rollers to another. My advice to them is to focus on their own projects and do less of the bitching.

For us who use AmD, we can't fault their service and 3 years on I still use them and am on good terms with all of them who work there. We get perks too ;)

Nice one mate, glad you are happy with the results. AMD were very good on remapping my cupra, received phone calls about a couple of hic-ups and making sure the wasn't any problems before they put it on the rollers. Honest guys as well which is hard to come by nowadays :D

Exactly this . Oh and for the record mine never goes over 23psi holds approx 21 all the way up to redline and on the last few wot runs seen 291 bhp on my liquid gauge, and gets hammered 90% the time I drive it,

people need to stop getting hung up on power figures and bad mouthing people and companies. I've bought products from companies that are not neccisarlily car related and had a shocking service, or described wrong but that doesn't mean everyone else has that same experience. And if That has happened to me then I give the company the chance to put it right if they can. after all nobody is perfect and that includes everyone on this forum.

Holdup I'm sure you will enjoy the car now you have that extra power, as we all know that any tuners map on these cars really can bring the best out in them, and don't be frightened to use that power to the best of its ability safely of course lol

Looking forward to seeing what you do next

And just for the record I think AMD are a cracking bunch of lads and the customer service is great, even though they may be a tad more pricey than other tuners, I know if I have any issues it will be sorted without a problem.

This is true, it was my first visit to AMD and they made me feel very welcome and gave me a good impression from the off.

I think too many people get to hung up on Dyno figures.
My car has only ever been on 1 set of rollers and I use the firgues from those sessions purely to see what increase I get when new parts are fitted.
There are far too many variables to take into account to say that one set of rollers is more accurate than another.

As has already been said so long as the owner is happy and the car drives well then happy days :D

I think with me also AMD will be the only rollers I will use as comparison for when i add more go faster parts :p as with the service that i have been provided i dont want to go any where else, sure i have used other companies for parts, such as badger 5, dpm and awesome and I will continue to do so, i havent had an issue with any of them but AMD is only 45 minutes away if that from where i live.

Anyway, Holdup, what's next?

Sorry for barraging your thread!

Now I have a more important question for you...............what's next? :)

Pay off my credit card bill lol! and then im thinking arbs and polybush, but maybe tidy the car up a bit first, still need to get my wheels redone

Thanks, im so happy just wishing the snow would leave so i can get used to the car abit more, cant put any power down at the moment. When i got the phone call i was surprised it was nice of them to ring just to say btw there could be a possible fault

Well no updates for quite a while other than the car finally received a wash and a hoover last weekend :D

Oh and that it's killed two coil packs in less than a month :(

First time round I didn't have a spare as I'd taken my tool box out the boot so the AA came out and replaced cylinder no 1 coil for me, then 23 days later cylinder no 3 went down.

I decided that I would buy 4 new coils and 4 new platinum ngk plugs through work even though I changed the plugs in November. So just need to fit them now also the eml light has come back on so need to get that read as I haven't noticed any issues with the car

I managed to sort the slight issue I had with boost and the dv fluttering by fitting the yellow spring and a spacer and since I've been enjoying how well the car pulls :D

Went to my first proper meet yesterday down at AMD for a rolling road day :D spoke to a few people and got the car dyno'd but found out the car was making about 30 bhp less than I expected and was told by the guys at AMD it had boost leak :(

So in the car park I removed the shim from the 008 Dv and it was also pointed out too me that the hose from my charge pipe to my front right intercooler had slid off so put that on and the car felt a lot smoother on the way home. Think I'm going to get a smoke test just to check everything's ok though

I prefer the yellow spring with a mapped car personally. Have you got one to try?
