A long overdue update;
Private plate is now back on.
And in December I had my install finally put it. It consists of;
Pioneer DEH-80PRS Headunit
Morel Limited Edition 2 Way Elate's
Morel 12" Ultimo Sub
JL Audio HD900/5
Lots of soundproofing in the doors and boot floor
Audison Wiring throughout
Cables wrapped in cloth tape for factory look

Its not quite finished as I will be doing a very subtle false floor in the boot to house the sub and amp to look as factory as possible.
Anyway, pictures;
The head unit;

Mid bass drivers nicely hidden in the doorcards;

The boot; I'll be building a very subtle false floor that will go around the sub box and sit over the amp only revealing the top of it with the rest and the cables tucked nicely underneath. A carpet mat will go over the top of the false floor;

Few little things; the remote, the USB connectivity which is hidden away in the glovebox, there is also a microphone for bluetooth hidden in the headlining and the live cable looking very factory again wrapped in cloth tape;

As you can imagine, it sounds outstanding. Some very special kit here. Installed and tuned by Mark Turner. It is running fully active.
It still has a little more running in to do on the sub and then I will be re-tuning and turning the bass up as I love my bass as well as sound quality.

Car is filthy so once I have washed it I will post some new pictures. Apologies for the bad quality pics. I am buying another SLR this year so will be back to good quality soon.

If anyone is looking to get into audio don't hesitate to contact me. I would be happy to source the very best possible kit on whatever budget you have (I won't just advise the usual JBL tat). I can also arrange installation, soundproofing (which makes a big difference) and tuning etc.
I have pretty much the best contacts in the country in regards to car audio so give me a shout anytime :)

Like the hidden upgraded door speakers but not sure about the tweeters on the dash

Tweeters needed to be on the dash for staging and would have blocked a lot of sound having them in the factory location. I know it doesnt look as nice but I suppose its only one thing I have had to sacrifice.
These speakers are too special to compromise the sound.

Not over keen on the head unit, I think a double din would look much more OEM. But respect to you for doing the upgrades, the standard audio in the mk5 is disgraceful. I barely listen to music in the car now, I just tune in to the exhaust and BOV for in car entertainment these days lol

Im really missing my CUPRA and BOV :( So tempted to order the new Cupra this year.

I agree a double din would look a lot nicer but there wasn't a lot of choice for a double din with the features I need.
I think I may go for standard headunit and an Audison Bit One processor if I get another Cupra for the OEM look.
