Hi all,

Bit of an unusual problen of which I am having a bit of trouble solving.

Recently, the airbag light on the dash came on (and the centre console light is flashing for the Airbag On/Off) and I decided to run it through VAGCom to get some insight on the probable cause. It stated that the resistance was too high for the passenger airbag.

Annoying but after some research I though best to solder the wires under the passenger seat as the yellow connector can become faulty. Attempted to reset the code, but no luck!

I am now stuck  and was hoping anyone might have any recent stories like this with a happier ending?

I drive a Seat Leon Cupra R 2005.

Thanks in advance everyone - greatly appreciate any help!

Hi,

I have a similar problem.
I took out both front seats and disconnected the battery for a while.

Put everything back in and now the airbag light is on.

so bought myself a £6 vagcom cable from ebay (China!) and ran VCDS Lite and it came back with the same error you mention above. (Resistance Too High).

So what I'm struggling with now is how to clear it.
Could there be a fault in the connection? Or is it all fine and I just need to use VCDS to switch off the light? But How?

Ive also got this problem which popped up when i took the glove box out while fitting a different cd player, could be related, i havent tried to clear any codes yet though.
