The Fl MKII Leon did improve some areas such as the climate control lifted out of the MK6 Golf with nicely weighted switches the move the RNS310 as standard again nicely weighted dials and a quality feel to the push buttons. The new white display also
help give a more quality look to the dashboard.
The indicator stalks and light switches were also lifted from the Golf so the parts you actually interacted with did feel good. The cost cutting was in the centre console especially around the gearstick and handbrake, was very scratchy plastic.
As I said the fact that mine never rattled did say allot about it being fitted together well, it was just the materials used that made it more low rent. But then I paid 15.5K for a brand new Leon FR TSi 211, the mechanically identical Golf GTi would have cost me at least 9K more with a discount for a posh frock that looked more Marks & Spencer than Primark - but you paid for the privilege!
