so i know the offset is between 30 to 45. and pcd is 5 x112.

can we get away with offset 40 and pcd 5x110?

cheers

oh and what does bore mean?

5x110 will need adaptors mate, thats the stud pattern. 110mm from center of one to center of opposite. the Mk2 is 112mm.

Bore, is the diamiter of the (for better way) hole in the middle of the wheel, that sits / locates onto the hub lug.

Offset will usually be 42 to 54 for standard wheels (depending on style/size). Centre Bore is the hole in the middle of the wheel. There are loads of wheels available with the correct fitment and offsets so you'd be better off going for those.

e.g Bore 57.1
PCD 5x112
Offset 42-54
Width 7-8

5x110 fitment will be fine as long as you use 'wobbly' bolts / variable pitch bolts !

A lot of my suppliers are now keeping 5x110 wheels in stock as it means they can offer this wheel for 5x108 Ford/volvo fitment along with 5x112 just with some simple bolts with slightly adjustable collars around the base.

So you will need a centre bore of 57.1, this is done with a plastic or metal spiggot ring. and ET40 would be fine depending on the rest of the size of the wheel !

The bolts are perfectly safe as all they have is a moveable collar which allows upto 2mm of play on the seating of the wheel bolt in the wheel.

The main bolt is still a standard bolt, so no loss of strength or anything like that.

Think of the 'wobbly' bit as more of a washer than a wobbly bit !!!

ccr was the initials of the company I used to work for when I first started work.

my username has been around for years, I started and ran the FFOC for about 5 years, did loads of stuff on Briskoda, Audi-Sport.net.

So many people recognise me on a lot of forums !!
