You checked compression?
Right, tonight I have checked osver coil sticks and plugs, as it says cylinder 2 i swapped the coil stick from 2 to 1 and tried up the road...still missfire on cylinder 2, so i swapped the plug from 1 to 2 (so basically both the plug and coil stick from 2 is in cylinder 1) and still says cylinder 2 missfire, leaves me with either an injector thats gone down or a air leak. Smoke test being done at the weekend. But done all this to see what else comes up.

Could be degrading wires to coilpack 2, not difficult to check for corrosion or oxidation on the wires beneath the insulation.
And of course could be other things lol I always love diagnostics!

good find.. Now, I would be thinking why did the cat overheat to the extent it did that?
Fuel pressure and lean running springs to mind..
I would be checking afr's under boost are in the 12's if this were mine
