The end of the strut that fits to the slam panel has to be on an angle and the mk5 isn't it's straight. The one i have now is off a mk4 golf anniversary which are a polished finish

I have one off a 2000 audi a3 bonnet 520mm 350n

Don't no yet till I finish work.the majority of struts for bonnets are 290n if they have 1 strut.i did give them the size of the bonnet an they said it should be good.

I have tried a 520mm 350n and it needs help to lift it up but i found a 400n too strong when closing the bonnet

I tried a 300n an it was just about right .was they new ?

I ask for 2 b2 ends as it felt better when opening the bonnet.i phoned them up an gave them the size 520mm an 290n
