K04 MK3 Ibiza Cupra Track Ready - RIP

are you stripping it and adding a bt?

Stripping yes BT no. Not yet anyway. I'm building an engine just haven't decided on full spec yet but I don't like lag. I thought chriscupra02 GTX was gunna be awesome power with little lag but hasn't quite turned out that yet, may different head hotside and wmi it will be better much better I bet, but I'm not buying a turbo until I'm 110% on it. I like the K04 hybrid and like the look of a TSFi tubby hybrid

Yeah its not about lag that just makes it hard work. The k04 hybrids work well come in quick enough. He'll get there but theres alot more to do.

Defo swaying to VAG tubby than to BT. At GTi inters standard Turbo Mapped cars where getting better times than BT cars, I Know it's more than likely traction problems but my mates MK2 Ibiza with a BAM engine in (265bhp) was getting mid 13s and BT cars where high 14s.
Defo don't wanna be breaking it, everyone's going Jap and I must admit I've looked at going Jap but the only thing I'd but would be a S15 and there too much money to buy and start to mod.
Must admit tho Bergs Supra is coming on and looking good

our lupos k03 hybrid does 300bhp solidly...

its new k04 hybrid should be interesting when i get time to swap bits across.

low 300bhp levels with k04 spool.. plenty for fwd

Totally agree Bill, I think well mapped K04 or K03 hybrid with a Diff and good suspension setup is plenty fast enough for the roads and on the roads match or beat a BT car.
Top end and figures BT will always win I guess depends what floats ya boat :)
Look forward to seeing the lupo supporting a K04

All about the grip for me aswell if you ain't got the grip your bhp means nish! Proved my saying twice now even with just the k03s lol against a gt28 all he had was wheelspin but I put some of that down to driver error aswell.

Definately stay within the k0x/hybrid setups...big turbos are great to tell people how much horsepower you have but the low down aggressive spooling of the k04 k03 hybrids etc is awesome.

I can get away with it being 3.0 though

Are ya proper old school. That's the sorta car Id allow abit of lag. That or a renny 5gt

Got a pic of the rs?

Same spec as Bergs I think haha I'm lost in the jap world

A close mate of my has a r5gtt, loads done to it, gave a m3 a good go for its money the other week.
Those fiestas are nice, just really not a fan of the old fords :( or new ones tbh

Looks awesome not a new ford fan either but I like old school stuff.

Renny 5s are well cool I'd love one but It would be in bits more than the Ibiza haha and they always follow suit - fan belt breaks the gearbox then turbo then Head gaskets and then repeats this over and over haha

Wouldn't mind a daihatsu charade GTTi as abit of fun lol
