Not sure I'm in the right forum topic, but I'm about to buy one of these on Sunday, and wondered if anyone had any advice on problems to look out for. It's a 62 plate.

Any problems would be covered under warranty! so just look for evidence of repaired damage and do an HPI check

As said, check for accident damage , also check rear tyres for wear on inner edge, check alloys for kerbing and tyre sidewalls for bulges, the 35 profiles don't like potholes and replacements are expensive! Sound deadening under bonnet can go mouldy, loads of threads on here about it,seat base bolsters can go baggy, otherwise just the usual stuff.

hpi check is a must dont want any nasty surprises after the money has changed hands, alloys are big point to i just recently got a cupra r and all 4 were in a terrible state but all nice and new now try get a look at the brake pads to since its 62 plate should be plenty of life yet though if not you know its been driven very hard during its short life
what did you have before?i jumped from a 1.9tdi mk2 leon to the cupra r all round lol

As said, any parts unless they've been accident damaged will be covered under warranty so no need to worry.

Pretty solid cars all round to be honest.

I agree, one year of ownership and its been the most reliable thing I've ever had, that includes girlfriends
