Hi, I'm new to seat supra.net...

I have bought some R32 brake calipers with discs, I own a seat leon fr 170tdi pre facelift.. with 312mm front brakes as standard. I was just wondering if i would need different brake hoses to connect to the bigger caliper??

Thanks
Ben

And you'll need new hoses front and rear. The R32 will fit most 18" and some 17" wheels

Yes, I have 18" wheels so should be enough clearance..... So Rob are you saying I will need new brake hoses for the front from FR to cupra/ R32 brakes?? Have you done this upgrade? cheers

I did the conversion several times and if the 170 pd diesel has the same brakes as the 2.0 petrol (pre facelift) fr you simply will need new lines. I would order the braided line anyway so just order the Cupra version and you'll be fine. If your doing the R32 rears too you have to modify the original fr shields since the R32 won't fit.

I was under the impression the standard hoses would fit, I am doing a full conversion front and back, I will be buying braided hoses anyway but thought the standard ones would fit.

When you say you need to mod the heat sheilds, do you mean they just need bending?

Almost cetain that on the FR Seat uses another connection for the hoses on the calliper (connenction to the solid lines is the same).
But if you ordered cupra braided hoses you will be fine.

It is the R32 dust/mud guards in the rear that won't fit, the Fr ones just need a bit a bit of cutting / bending to fit fine (not a hard job to do).
