Ibiza 3 doors FR 2010.

I would like to upgrade my front speakers, I don't care to shake the neighborhood with bass, but care to enjoy high quaility sound for jazz, vocal, classis and rock, which made me think 2 high quaility coaxial speakers should be enough(?)

I am thinking of: Rockford T1652 vs. 165CVX Focal vs. Hertz DCX 165.3

Any recommendations?
Anyone with past experinece with any of them?

I would probably lean towards the Focals or Hertz for the kinds of music you enjoy listening to. Are you going to be running them from an external amplifier? I wouldn't be buying any of the above mentioned speakers if they were going to be running from the stock head unit... It would be a lot of money for very little gain in my opinion.

I didn't thought I need amp. as the double-din i'm getting is 4x60watt...
Search for "ST-653" on aliexpress.com (can't post links here yet...)

Always better sound and power quality with an amp.

The fronts are more then likely to be component speakers as well. I recently upgraded my fronts and rears with Focal Access speakers and sounded the doors and door cards. Powered by a Vibe 5 channel amp as i have a fibreglass 10" sub in the boot.

Word of warning though, getting the door cards off and on can be nightmare.

I'm not saying it won't sound fine, but you won't get anything like the maximum potential from any of those speakers unless you get a good quality external amp. The amplifiers in the head unit you linked are likely to be no better, maybe worse than the ones in your stock head unit in all honesty despite the 'stated' output. I can't vouch for this however, you would need to take a listen for yourself.

Also, as mentioned previously, you will get a better sound stage at the front of the car with components (tweeters in the front pillars). I believe this is the standard configuration on most, if not all modern Ibiza's so it would make sense to get a direct replacement for the stock speaker configuration if you choose to change them.

Wait, I assumed for some reason that with Ibiza FR 2010 comes coaxial speakers, is that not true? is it component that comes build in?

why not go component?

also, personlally ill be going with a 4 channel amp + a mono block
with some nice components in the front and coax in the rear.

i listen to everything from miles davis, to mettalica, my last car had infinity speakers in it, honestly couldnt fault em at all, and there a nice high sensitivity so they are easy to drive, clear and pronounced. ive listened to hertz and focal and would prefer the infinitys.

also, if your gunna put speakers in run an amp, and at that point id say just re-do all the speakers as you have most of the plastics off.

is what i would run, but then you also need a nice 4/5 channel amp(vibe makes a 5 channel for a few hundred quid so you can add a sub to the mix)

dont let it fool you, a nice set of speakers goes a long way, but a subwoofer will add that extra depth, it doesnt have to rattle the street, it just fills in the bottom end :)

I went for the 5ch vibe amp and it fits perfectly to the left of the spare wheel under a wooden false floor. I paid £200 for it and I can't fault it. Plenty of volume if the speakers are matched correctly and with a 10" jl audio sub it hits the lows quite nicely. If I crank it up it makes for a nice back massager to. It hits pretty hard!
