Hi ya, it's a Seat Leon 2.0 TFSI, I am not sure what the difference is? lol sorry

LEON HATCHBACK 2.0 16V TFSI Sport 5dr, yeah just put the reg in and got this

Yeah, I was thinking 1-1.5k maybe, where would be best to advertise it? Ebay you think?

Ok thank you, we will have a think about what we are going to do over the weekend

I'd say call them first, if they offer anything get it in writing. If they don't, follow up with an email copied to BBC Watchdog (address should be on their website). Try the nice, softly, almost pleading approach first, then if that doesn't work, go down the 'this is not acceptable route' etc.

I really hope you get somewhere with it and let us know the outcome!

Pretty unlikely the insurance would pay up
even people who have driven through flood water and sucked up water and hydraulicly locked the engine have an uphill battle with the insurance companies
So insurance companies are unlikely to cover a cambelt snapping through wear and tear or just bad luck

If its a fairly new belt, maybe worth getting on to the belt manufacturer, could have been a faulty belt
Same with the water pump and followers etc if they are fairly new too
The garage should be able to tell you if any of those could have been the cause and if you have any chance of a claim

Hope it all works out for you

Like I say worth a call, nothing to loose I would rather have a battle than have to fork out major cash,I don't think the camber failed, sure the pully sheared off it's bolt, due to fatigue. , so could be worth a pop at that mileage .
If you were closer I would for the engine for not a lot of dollar, maybe someone here could help out?

Aww that's really nice Dose, thank you, it is a shame you're not closer :)

I think he leaning towards getting a new car and selling this as scrap. He still hasn't emailed Seat, I have suggested he do it.
