now I have been searching alot on here for an induction kit now I defently want the ITG over the forge due to hearing the itg is basically a beast and proves power

the only issue is that my battery is in the boot.. the air feed on the ITG looks abit poor been shoved in the corner past where the battery goes like this

it seems better like this but they do not do the kit and it seems the polo gti does but sadly cant find any for sale..

so not sure what to do... as the top one awesome GTI have in stock now but how will the air feed work been shoved down the corner as not sure if the bocs have a airvent down there due to the battery been in the back and the air feed been at the front ??

In the same position as you for this Troupy, the VWR one is the same as the polo one, however I'm not sure if you'll have the issue with battery clearance? As the Polo's is moved over slightly into the wing I believe.

tbh I dont kno why they have even made it like that instead of the polo gti one seems alot more suitable for needs..

that polo induction kit should be just made like that for all lol...

my battery is in the boot so its not a problem but the air feed do not like where it is on the ibiza one

Troupy,

I have the ITG on the same engine positioned behind the headlight, ITG designed it this way because when driving the position behind the battery is an area of high air pressure and creates a ram effect.

Not sure about the Ibiza but if you look at the slam panel on my Fabia then you can see that it's not going to add a great deal of airflow being connected to it.

Anyway I have dyno tested my car with just the ITG and it adds 7-10bhp positioned as ITG designed it.

nice one dude

well I have just ordered one and it should of been here today but its tomorrow now lol

so how does this work so well say compared to a pipercross panel filter and OEM system box route???
as the itg looks the same but different location lol??

Get a 90 degree silicone joint, take the old air feed surround out and put the ducting in it after you've flattened it down a bit so it sits like this.

TBF you have stuff in a slightly different place to me

So you will have to look at fitting a little different, the gap to the side of the battery on the Fabia looks a little easier to "plumb" into.

The reason it works much better is because if you open it you will see the filter is really big, giving a good surface area, and the material itself breathes better.

so do you think its efficient the way it is atm>??

hope it breaths nice lol

Id drop the piping full stop and buy a 90 degree bend, you want the most direct route into the throttle body and the ribbed piping is crap for distorting air flow.

See what you think of mine, but everyone will prefer it a different way.

I have the battery under the bonnet do you know of a guide to moving it to the boot or even easier recommend a smaller racing battery(crap with electrics and stuff)

There was someone who tried it I think a while back, to be fair i wouldnt go through the hassle myself as the piping will still do a job but i reckon the kits with the battery in the boot would be slighty better just as its a more direct route.

For the hassle it would be I wouldnt bother mate.

Yeah you could use a race battery but i wudnt bother with the expense, i think the odd person has done that also, to many cupra threads come up so i forget.
