I've got to disagree on cornering fogs being pointless, each to their own I know but having came from one with to one without I can see the benefit of that extra edge they give you.

I agree with you. We live halfway up a mountain road with hairpin bends and no barriers between us and a very big drop. At night the cornering lights make a huge difference to the visibility.

If your road is anything like the road I had to travel to get to a hillside villa I rented in Torrox, Spain Fred then they'll be invaluable, heart in your mouth stuff and that was in daylight :D

Hello,

fog/cornering lights with reverse gear:

1. stg9 - central electronics
2. security access - function 16
3. code 31347
4. adaptation - function 10
5. select channel (8) Light12NL LB45 light function C12
6. adjust value on reverse (rueckfahrt in german)
7. Select channel (10) Light12NL LB45 dimmwert CD12
8. adjust value to 100
9. select channel (8) Light13NL RB5 light function C13
10. adjust value on reverse (rueckfahrt in german)
11. select channel (10) Light13NL RB5 dimmwert CD13
12. adjust value to 100

That's it !

Rob

I've noticed that with this coding the fog lights come on in reverse whether the headlights are on or not, unlike the cornering function where the headlights need to be on for the cornering fog to illuminate.

Can both lights be set to come on in reverse only when the headlights are on?

Got coding for this now:

09 central electric
16 security access
Unlock code 31347
10 adaptations
From drop down select - (1) static AFS light-bei Rueckwaertsfahrt
Set value to Double Sided from OFF
Do It

That's it done

So only this coding is needed to activate fog lights on reverse?

I think I've tried it and it didn't work - so I had to enable those fog lights like described before.

I suspect it still needs the original coding to make the lights work on right/left also.

I had already enabled this on mine before trying the reverse coding.

I had read that on the Octavia MK3 once the cornering lights were enabled they automatically worked on reverse also, this was not the case on the Leon. I compared a adaptations map between the Leon and Octavia and noticed the above code was different on the Octavia, made the change on the Leon and it then worked as per factory.

I meant that I've enabled cornering like this:
(5) Leuchte12NL LB45-light function B12
(5) Leuchte13NL RB5-light function B13

Then I've set (1) static AFS light-bei Rueckwaertsfahrt to Double Sided and nothing was happenning when putting reverse.

So i had to use this:
select channel (8) Light12NL LB45 light function C12
select channel (8) Light13NL RB5 light function C13

And now fog lamps are working when putting on reverse but all the time - even when low beams are off.

Seems like your adaptation is not working for me, or I am doing something wrong.

Odd, you are correct the:

channel (8) Light12NL LB45 light function C12
channel (8) Light13NL RB5 light function C13

Will result in fogs lighting on reverse even when headlights are off, though cornering using

(5) Leuchte12NL LB45-light function B12
(5) Leuchte13NL RB5-light function B13

Results in fogs working for cornering, when lights are on only.

This works for me when lights are on only:

(1) static AFS light-bei Rueckwaertsfahrt to Double Sided

Maybe your car is different, a link to my coding is here, you can compare if you like (this is pre changing the double sided code)

Perhaps enginge needs to be switched on, not just ignition? I need to check it one more time.

How can I generate such csv file? :p

Ok, it works.

Like I was thinking - engine needs to be on. With just ignition on it does not work too.

Sorry neglected to mention this but yes engine needs to be running for light to work for cornering and in reverse as well as low beam on also.

Glad you got it working in the end :funk:
