Expected Delivery?

Hi Jordan - I think JamMonkey meant he ordered on January 19th.

I ordered Jan 17th - 1.2Tsi SE petrol - arrived at Sheerness last Tuesday; collected from Sheerness by transporter today (Monday); expect to pick up some time next week now (too late for this week as I am away for 4 days on Friday).

Any of the La Surprisers got an update with their delivery date?

I am now pretty confident I have fallen for the dealers inaccurately positive spin yet again. I suspect his 'its sitting on a lorry' actually means it has been cleared to be sent to the dealer and is sitting around in a car park waiting for a lorry.

I should have learnt my lesson earlier

I was told by my dealer that I am still on for a delivery today even though they don't have the car?!

They said that if it comes on the 10am delivery that I can have it today.

Feel like that is a big if. I did offer him the get out clause of saying "shall we just do Friday as that sounds unrealistic" but he was adamant. Let's watch this all fall apart.

Will keep you all posted and of corse get some pictures up!!

They said that all this would be done before I got there or whilst I'm there. Bit worried that they will just rush it if I'm honest but we will see, it's not 10am yet so..wait for the call.

Im central EU so probly on road all the way. But Im not sure, I didnt investigate I didnt want to know where it is as it would get me even more excited

Picked up my FR184 in Monsant Red yesterday. I've only driven it 30 miles home so far but I'm very impressed. The stop/start caught me out in the traffic! I was unsure about the colour but it looks great ( still prefer the yellow though). Talking to the dealer (who is in Newcastle) they said that they get cars from the Tyne and Sheerness. They have problems getting the transport companies to give delivery dates - even from 10 miles down the Tyne. What surprised me was that they also track the ships online!

wow... I dont know what to say tbh. Just picked up my 1.8TSI DSG and I almost peed myslef from the joy of driving back to work !! Its incredible. Will post longer impressions somewhere later, quick picture from the phone for now :

Just got the dreaded call from the dealer. They are not expecting the car until Friday, no way ready for me this week.

Received from my dealer this morning - I never knew a week could go so slowly!

"Good morning,
Just a short note to say that while I was off last week the build status of
your car changed from estimated week 11 build to confirmed build week 11.

Seat have advised us that they will be pulling out all the stops to deliver
vehicles to us during March for build weeks 9 and 10, but no word on week 11
as yet.
I will keep you up to date with any changes.

So I assume the person in SEAT who said they were pulling out all stops was just being ironic

So far my dealer has been OK, my week 11build was built in week 11, shipped in week 12 and is currently in Tyneside in week 13! I haven't heard from him yet this week, but am hoping I might see the car next week?

Apparently there are too many cars for the number of delivery vehicles at the moment, causing a log-jam - according to my dealer.

Our dealer has just phoned. The car will be delivered to them tomorrow. We collect on Saturday morning at 9.00am.

Ordered 1 Feb. Build week 11. Left Barclelona 17 March. Disembarked Tynemouth 23 March. Delivered to dealer 26 March. Collected by customer 29 March.
