Great colour! Shame the cupra isn't available in that colour or I'd have ordered it.

It was overcast yesterday and the paint looked a little darker than I had envisaged. Bright sunshine today though and it fair sparkled. :)

Very nice. Enjoy.

According to the dealer mine is being made this week, should have it on my own drive early May.

Leon 2.0 TDI FR DSG Red - Comfort, Winter, Tech Packs and Sunroof.

I've noticed a lot of people posting on this forum recently that they've ordered/bought new Leon's, and quite a few of them seem to get their cars very very quickly. Can someone explain how it is possible that so many of them get their cars so quickly while I've had to wait for so many weeks for mine? I ordered on Feb 14th and am still waiting. So when they say things like, ' I've gone for X paint with x,y and z packs and I pick it up next week' do they really mean 'there's this preregistered model sat at the dealers that I quite like/got talked into, and I don't want to wait for weeks so I bought someone else's choice of spec'?

Just thought I'd ask before I go to my dealer and start yelling!

I think that SEAT UK order stock that dealers can draw from so there is always a supply of cars in the country, but not always what you want!

Ah, bugger. Sods law that mine had to be factory ordered! I've been getting very jealous seeing all these happy new owners taking delivery so quickly... I have to keep reminding myself it'll all be worth it in the end, I guess I'm just not good at waiting!

Only four weeks to go... Or 31 days. I'm not sure which sounds less depressing! Haha

According to one of the SEAT UK Customer Service executives that I have been dealing with over the course of the last week, lower priced models in standard spec. are made for dealer stock and for fleet operators to call off. FR and Cupra models are usually built to order.

My FR was delivered to Port of Tyne 7 weeks and 1 day after I placed the order but due to an administrative ****-up by the logistics people it then took another 3 weeks to make it down the A1 to my local dealer.

That would seem to make sense... When I ordered mine the dealer tried very hard to get me interested in an FR 2.0Tdi he had in stock that I could have taken very much quicker, but I decided to wait and get the car I wanted from factory order instead. The FR is very nice, but I preferred the softer character of the SE in estate form. If I'd wanted the five door I'd have chosen an FR. In the end I just went with the SE and specced it back up with the options packs.. Which I now see is the reason I've had to wait. Perhaps if I'd stuck with the standard SE spec I'd be driving it by now! The next four weeks can't go quickly enough! Patience is a virtue I'm afraid I do not possess! But I guess we can't have it all, eh? Lol

I ordered maybe a week before and mine won't be with me until 25th at the earliest I don't think. So you are not too hard done by :)

I did spec ACC which added some additional build time

My dealer called me two weeks ago and told me my build week was 16 which I believe is this week. Depending on boats and delivery 2-4 weeks after that. So hopefully early May. I ordered on march 8th and was told to expect delivery in 12 weeks so they appear to be ahead of schedule right now. They tried to get me to take a lower spec they had in stock but I felt it was better to wait and get the car I wanted.

Call your dealer and ask for the build week.

I ordered mine on 21st March. First I was told the expected delivery is up to 8-12 weeks. After a week I got a call from the dealer - they said I'd have to wait one month more. Yesterday I got another call and was told that due to some technological break at the factory they won't be producing cars in July, August so my car would be ready for... September.
I could break the deal and look for something else. I could also take something from stock, which would be far worse specced than my car...
I'm totally gutted.

I ordered in Poland and wonder if it's the same situation if I'd ordered it somewhere else...

Mine was taken from Seat stock in Tyne Port and took just over a week to get. I had a specification I was after and they didn't have one that matched. So unfortunately had to get one with more options on:D
