Looking good mate. I've got one in candy white on an 08 plate.

I'm wanting to spray my side strips too, did you sand them first or just do a straight spray over? I was thinking about removing them and replacing with new ones already sprayed white.

Don't remove them whatever you do! They are an absolute bugger to get the adhesive off, and they'll never go back on properly afterwards either. It's better to sand them down to get rid of the "dimples" and then use high build primer to get a smooth finish before spraying with base coat and then lacquer.

Make sure you get all of the old adhesive off the body work, Tardis will help, but be prepared for a lot of elbow grease!

Replaced the driver's side door lock module today, the inner door card is a fiddly bugger!

I bought the replacement one from eBay that's around £40, it's a little noisier than the OEM one it has replaced, but it works perfectly and is less than half the price so can't complain at all! I also took the opportunity to add plenty of sound deadening on the inside of the door so there is now sound deadening on the inner and outer of the driver's door. I've got plenty of material left so I suppose I'll have to get round to doing the passenger side as well.

Had time to give it a quick wash and a layer of cherry glaze, I'm hoping to get onto the interior tomorrow but priority number one is changing the brake light switch.

Spot the difference...

Also had an oil change in the last fortnight or so, and cleaned and re-oiled my Green Cotton panel filter. New oil filter, of course, and changed the cabin filter as well.

haha its cool ive finally got my hands on a cupra rear, picking it up thursday sprayed i want some 17s for mine, been looking at these, what do you think?
