I ordered on Feb 8th and yet somehow we have the same build week... If its not here until early June then my dealer will have some explaining to do! I've been told I'll have it by the last week of May.

The salesman said there was a Cupra that was ordered a few weeks before mine and has a build week of 24. Strange.

The demand for the cupra is pretty high. My local dealer is struggling to get them as demos. He ordered two and has sold one before its arrived. The previous 2 sold already lol!

I'm surprised dealers are allowed to sell demo cars straight away. I thought they were obliged to use them as demos for 3 months before selling on. Of course, there's nothing to stop dealers ordering Cupras for stock and that may have been what happened here?

I've yet to see one on the road, so I'd say they are still quite rare in the UK.

Build week Dates...

I have ordered a 265 In solid white with the manual box.. Placed the order on Saturday 26th April and was quoted 12 weeks for delivery... :-o

Called into the dealer this week to be told that it will be built week 23 which I think is the 2nd -9th June....

Does anyone know the build week numbers/dates well enough to confirm this?

Your post makes frustrating reading for me, I ordered my cupra nearly three weeks earlier than you and I have a build date of week 24, a week after yours..........:(

Looks like I will be waiting the full 12 weeks........

I feel for you Biker, I just don't get the way that they choose what they are building and when, seems to be luck of the draw!!

Im not expecting mine until 4 weeks after that, I generally don't drop lucky on things like this!

Does anybody know when the MY15's start and if there will be any differences on our cars if they are MY15?

Likewise! Admittedly mine isn't a Cupra, but I ordered on Feb 8th, and there are many, many people on here who ordered after me and are already driving theirs... Meanwhile mine isn't even being built until next week, and by the time they actually hand it over I'll have waited for 16weeks. So frustrating... In fact, I've waited so long for it, I'm not sure I even want it anymore. The idea of having to put up with three years of Seat customer service once I do get it is really putting me off. Not that I can complain about their customer service so far... Since there hasn't been any! Not even a phone call since I ordered. I only know its even being built this week by calling Seat UK direct. I've yet to find a reliable Seat dealership... And that, as a future owner, is worrying to say the least!

The dealer network is the biggest downer with buying a Seat in my opinion. Console yourself with the fact that lots of "premium" brands aren't a lot better. I've had poor customer experiences with Mini (BMW) and Saab (when they were around) dealers. A lot of the time it is luck of the draw and I try to decouple the sales experience from the aftercare. Salesfolk in the two local Seat dealers near me are next to useless, but I would still expect a decent level of service from the same dealers for aftercare. If it doesn't meet your expectations then seat UK should be able to sort it.

As an example of dire service, I bought a UK spec Saab 9-5 new in 2002 direct from a dealer in Gothenburg and imported it to UK myself. It was worthwhile as I paid around 60% of the UK list price (at the time I could negotiate about 5% discount from local dealer). For the first 2 years always took it to the local franchised Saab dealer for servicing. They treated me with contempt during the 3 / 4 times I gave them business so as soon as the car was out of warranty I switched to a local independent specialising in Saab's. They have been superb, friendly and efficient and I have used them ever since. Had the car for 12 years now and will run it until no longer economical to do so. The independents treat me well and because of that I reward them with my loyalty. Simple business principles really. A lot of car dealers need to learn about customer satisfaction and potential repeat business. Its not difficult!

For all the ship twitchers, Euro Spirit very close to docking at Tyne and L'Audace on the home straight to Sheerness.

Lets hope the cars don't sit on the dock for ages before being transported to dealers.

Got an update from the dealer (after calling myself), the production of our car will be next week, so it's postponed again. Will receive the car half of June, but I don't believe them anymore, this is the third time they promise a delivery date..

I share your frustration Timothy! Mine was first supposed to be Mid May, then the end of May... Now I'm being told it may be as long as the second week of June. Which will be a full 18 weeks since I ordered.

Us ST orderers do seem to be getting a raw deal here, huh! So fed up! [:@]

How does one find out what boat a car is on? I've looked at my paperwork and there's not any sort of number on it, it's just a generic order form...
