I assume you mean change it from the unit in post 3 to the one in post 9? Yes it's plug and play. However mine is always switched off when I start the car. I think you have swap a wire over in one the plugs for it retain it's memory. If that makes sense.

After messing around with different interior colours and basically making a pigs ear of the plastics inside I've decided to purchase new radio fascia, new climate unit and new instrument cluster surround and have them sprayed by a body shop. Also having the door trim strips sprayed the same colour as the car. 90% certain I'll go with gloss black for the dash parts. 10% of me is wondering if should do them all the same colour as the car.
I'll post some pics next week when it's all completed.
Should of got it all done properly in the first place. Live and learn eh.

do you mind me asking where you are getting the fascia etc from as i am trying to find part numbers, prices for the climate,radio and cluster fascias, but having no luck and do not have a dealer near me ...

All off eBay.
Cluster fascia is 1P2857244
Climate unit is 5P0907044P
And the double din fascia is DFP -18-02

Can't see a part number on the actual plastic fascia. The only part number is on the plastic vent housing. If that makes sense
Part number is 1P2 819 110C.

The climate control idea was done somewhere on here way before I made the change though. I just followed somebody else's lead.

Got it from eBay bud. Radio is a doddle to change. I just used a trim tool to lever the left hand and lower edges out and then pop the other clips out by hand. I'll probably be selling all the black gloss trim parts soon anyway. They are all fine and the climate works perfectly it's just they will need some TLC to get them back to respectability. And I can't be bothered with it myself so I've bought new bits and getting them sprayed at a body shop this week.

I guess the next step will be to lower it but there are some pretty brutal speed bumps where I work so I'll have to be mindful of that.
Remap is also something I'll look at at some stage but it's rather expensive so I'll see how the bank balance is once I return from my summer holidays.
Having said all that I can be rather impulsive when the mood takes me.
Rear light tints look nice as well.
BTCC kit was a possibility until I found out how much it costs to get done

Yeah I've been looking at coilovers. It's not the price that's the problem. It's the roads. Where I work you need to park up a kerb on the road. And they're quite high. I scrubbed this morning and the car is at standard height. Yeah a remap would be nice. Place near me does it for £240 and that comes with a dyno run too. I've seen the hella rear lights. Full rear set for £200 from in car motor factors. Haha yeah I went to the dealers on Saturday and with discount was quoted £1090 then needs painted. That's with discount but they're giving me £200 of the exhaust.

I'm only looking to sell the climate fascia with the controls. I could get left with the controls and not be able to move the controls on.
