Yes, I would. Seems, well in my case anyway, to make refitting easier. I removed felt once it was out of car, you'll need a 10mm spanner/socket to remove the 5 plastic nuts. Pretty easy to put back on afterwards.

Mine does this also so I hope to God that it's normal. Although I've just dropped mine off to Seat so they can look at a metallic sounding rattle on startup and idle for me
