EGR Valve Location

Oh. I had the engine light appear a couple of weeks ago. Took it into Seat and the million page printout said something about the EGR not reaching the lower threshold or something. They cleared it and it's not come back.
What would that be about?!

If its your cupra with a 2.0 TFSI 240bhp engine, im pretty sure it doesn´t have it.
I have only seen it on TDI´s and FSI´s (non turbo)
Maybe UK is different in that aspekt as opposed to the cars we import here in denmark?

Thats the purge system. You have a black "box" sitting to your left when your open the bonnet on your car.
Its the EVAP system, its to depressure the tank and take the vapors from the fuel in the tank into the engine, to meet emissions.
No way has that anything to do with an EGR system, not even close.
Its most likely the canister who is dead, 5 min replace.

This is the second time I've not been completely happy with that specific dealer. I'll be taking it to a cheaper VAG specialist from now on.
I know what it is now so I'll check lines/connections etc and see if they're all good. Can't do much more than that, can I?
