Got my Autotech HPFP internals today

Will be getting fitted probably next Friday along with a new cam follower and some fresh 5w 40 nano drive oil.

Right folks

Bit of an update-

Since the last post on here I've done the following-

Fitted AutoTech HPFP internals

Modified the MTC kit so the fuel trims are as close to stock as poss

Oil & Filter change (now running Millers Nano Drive 5w 40 CFS)

Changed diverter valve for a Rev G one

New cam follower fitted

Also I have been to R-T.e.c.h for stage 2+ mapping..... Very impressed with the map Niki Gower has done for me..... My cars now a very capable hot hatch with 345 Bhp & 330 ftlb's on tap

The day I had the map done it was 28 degrees.... Inlet temp were as you can imagine higher than usual.

There's still a bit more to be had from the car yet (power wise). I'm still on the stock clutch and intercooler so niki didn't want to go mad with the map.

Next changes will be- remove a/c and also get a S3 cooler

Also I'll be putting a stronger clutch in, once there done it's back to R-T.e.c.h for niki to work his magic again.

Thanks lads.

To be honest I can't believe the difference now it's mapped, completely transformed the car to another level

It's a proper hot hatch now, I'm glad I went from stock straight to 2+ as I can definitely feel the extra power lol.

It spins up in the dry in 2nd but other than that it's not to bad at getting the power down.

JamesT- it feels as quick as my old turbo'd type R in a straight line for sure, just not as fun and nimble as that was.

This is my daily driver/weekend taxi for the missus and kids, it's nice and subtle when I want to potter about.... It now rips when the boost comes in.

Can't wait to get a better cooler and clutch on.... Then I'm hoping for anything from 370-380 Ish

Nice car mate. I remember reading your builds over on civic type r, used to have a type r but now own a leon fr cr170, totally different cars. As good as the ep3 is, there getting on abit now so don't think I would own another. Will you be going for the new type r or sticking with the cupra

Dave.W- hiya mate, sure I recognise your username from the CTR forum I used to go on.

Like you say the ep3's are showing there age now, they still make good track projects though.

I wouldn't have another for a daily, I'm also not fussed about the Fn2's..... The new one looks awesome though and I'm sure it's going to be turbo'd and 300 Bhp.... Imagine how tuneable that's going to be.

I've had 2 diesels Leon fr Tdi's... Both with the Pd170 lumps though, your cr170 lumps took over from them.... VERY VERY good engines especially when remapped. I had one that had a shark map on, went like fook for a diesel.

Yeah that would be me, same username.
Looking forward to the release, might have to get a test drive in one :D

Loved the look of you red fr, red and black wheels goes together so well.
looked into a revo map but got a couple of bits I wana do first.

looks mint mate as usual.
tell you what though i can feel the difference already with this S3 intercooler fitted.

Banksy- that s3 cooler looks great on your cupra

I can't believe how big the cooler is as stock on a s3

Definitely need one for mine

You have autotech internals!!!!!!!!!! You shall now be hung by your scrotum for not choosing the loba/APR unit.

Ha ha I was going to keep it quiet about the AutoTech internals

To be honest I can't fault them at all big eck

If there fitted correctly (hard not to) with a new cam follower for good measure, then it's happy days as far as I'm concerned.:1st:

I love your cupra as well by the way, given me plenty of ideas reading through your build thread

Well tomorrow I'll be off to Santa Pod with my cupra

I've decided to strip the rear as well just for the trip there.

Nice and clean ready for the drive there tomorrow

Banksy- I'll not be doing any daft launches, just gonna get rolling in 1st then straight Into 2nd and full throttle from then on.

I'll only do maybe 3 runs tops.

Mike- the intake is a fair size, especially the filter which just about fits in.

I'll keep you updated as to what I do, to be honest I'm not going to go mad due to the fact I'm still running stock clutch......Maybe I'll go back again once I've got a stronger clutch.
