What do you mean by 'removing' ? Literally removing the exhaust altogether will make it run like a bag of spanners and make your ears bleed. And those of most of the people around you. Oh yes and fail the MOT. If you meant 'replacing' the exhaust with a different system then there can be benefits, do a search on here.
However, it will still sound like a tractor.

no just taking the back box of and welding a pipe and tip in place of it lol, will it make it any harder to run :L

Fairly certain people have done that with no issues, you might get a tiny bit more noise

I removed the Backbox on my CR170 and i think its got just the right amount of grunt for a diesel. If you search for Shuggie87 on instagram i have a short video of it.
