I thought as I'm spending more time on the forums and more time playing with my car it would be nice to put some pictures up !

Bought my lcr in March this year with 79k on it completely standard and 1 previous owner.

This is how I saw it when I arrived at the dealer. Been there 2 days and this was the state it had arrived in. Obviously someone's pride and joy previously! Couldn't wait any longer and had to have it......

Night I picked it up next to my friends hybrid 225 St lump

Comparison in height. My previous car 2.0mk1 focus lowered 70mm yet the lcr was lower standard....

Private plate for my 21st

I then got a bargain on fleabay for a savage 30psi boost gauge and a volt gauge that was thrown in.... Would have preferred a oil temp gauge but beggers can't be choosers !

I acquired a dent on my rear passenger door. Paint damaged and all quotes where astronomical to be fixed £300+

Thankfully I found a door of a fellow forum member for a fraction of the cost in the same colour which I fitted and car now looks cleaner then ever !

I've just got a fabia rear wiper to fit as well as oil + filter off Opie oils, I'm just about to order a badger 5 v2.2 billet intake and bmc twin cone also debating a dogbone mount....

Looking to get a badger 5 map on it as soon as I've got some supporting mods fitted 008 valve 2.0 coils and adapters maybe silicone upper boost hoses as mine are as soft as anything....

Thinking of doing the n249 bypass as mine seems to every now and again drop the boost in 1st and 2nd but I can't recreate it willingly !

Not Much to report.
Changed the oil and filter yesterday as well as a new battery and fitted a fabia rear wiper arm and new under tray fittings.

Fitted my magnetic sump plug (the little things haha)

On inspection while on the ramp it seemed some tool had fitted the n/s drop link upside down and the o/s was already wearing so need a pair of drop links in the future. The strange rattling was indeed the cat heat shield so that's one less random noise now it's gone!

As well as
O/s Inner cv boot
N/s outer cv boot
Rocker cover gasket is leaking at the back and I'm guessing around one of the coils...

But all in all really happy with how clean it is.

I've got a 55 plate, exactly the same colour. Stunning cars huh mate
..:p
I love it, done about 6,000 miles since I got it at the start of March, every time I drive it I smile :p

Every time I get some money together to increase the performance something else's needs to be replaced haha. I'll get my B5 tip and filter soon..... Probably tyres and discs and pads all round first.... :(

With thanks to jackkk today who was breaking his black lcr after it was wrote off I picked up the following goodies from him....

Now I wasn't in the mood to rush fitted the billet tip and I couldn't find my red silicone sealent.... but I did fancy trying my luck with the heat shield, cone, and dv :D

The results one intoxicating induction noise and a little bit of a WOOOSH, noticeable better pick up with the valve compared to the oem and it seems (sounds) quicker :cool::cool:

Will do the tip when I get a chance before a stage 1 remap with the man himself b5

Nothing that exciting, bought a oil temp gauge to match my current clocks. Didn't like the silver so made them stealth haha

Pretty happy with them.

Got some led side lights as well as some fancy red bolts to ditch the rusty rubbish ones

Not sure what to get now, I had sourced a double din console and fascia and was let down 5 days later by a company that is widely known on the forum.

I've still got my 80mm tip to fit and the oil temp gauge,

Thinking about a cobra cat back and some more pretty red hoses, but it's still standard so maybe stage 1 first ?!

So this weekend I booked some time of work and finally got round to doing some jobs !

f8c7133087dfe129a46b8c46724855ce.jpg

I started with this.

And thanks to the postman

22bb60baa7968b5659305af2c43ad92b.jpg

I had some new toys to fit.

On taking of one of my upper hose's I found a small split. So was even happier to have ordered the upper pipes. I had to trim the off side pipe as it was far to long but once fitted I was happy with the new look !

I also swapped my Ariel over to something a little more discreet

634317db090033203286d18885c690b9.jpg

Next was the badger5 v2.2 tip

For anyone thinking of fitting one, when you've read through the various firing guides its a lot easier then you think.

Start by removing as much from the tip as you need to (dv, hockey puck, n75 etc)

There's only one 7mm jubilee clip holding the standard intake tip to the turbo, gentle wiggle and it pops off.

Simples.

8667fb0da398b1a548bc46020982ce19.jpg

Clean all the oil up of the underside etc and grab hold of your billet piece, I used brake cleaner to make sure it was all clean and ready to fit, run some silicone around inside of the runner and adjust the grub screw, (2mm Allen key)

Slide it onto the compressor housing and tighten that puppy up.

How the most nerve racking moment is removing the excess silicone from the billet piece and making sure it doesn't touch the compressor wheel.

After all Your hard work your left with some grease monkey **** though  the fit and design is flawless.

Now the easy bit is relocate everything into the tip, New jubilee clips and some patience, you have to trim maybe 2 things. That's it.

And BAM . Induction goodness.

Really pleased with it, from start to finish no more then an hour and a half. For the V2.2 billet tip.

Today dogbone and hotside connector to charge pipe. Lets have at it.

While waiting for everything to arrive I've decided to make a new heat shield for my badger 5 tip.
