Just gotta choose a double din to fit and I'll be one happy bunny !

Thanks to psi tuning for sending it over so quickly ! I'm amazed.

Also trial fitted my heatshield

Just got to find some time to get it fitted.

Happy with the look, on reflection the side towards to bulkhead could be longer but I'm happy.

Getting the car ready for a remap, just ordered oil and filter, discs and pads all round so no toys so to speak. I did manage to get my heat shield fitted though finally

Small update,

Finished bending and trimming my heat shield. Really happy with it, in hindsight I'd have made it a little shorter as the rubber trim is fouling the bonnet prop.

Also fitted my poly Bush dog bone

And replaced my torn cv boot. PITA

Just a shot leaving work full of beady goodness.

Hi, this is a brilliant Cupra. Could you give me the dimensions of the heat shield or a link to a guide on how to do it? I recently Cupra R and I can not find anything like that ..
Thanks in advance

Very nice car! Wish I knew how to fit things like this myself I'm too scared if I take something out I won't be able to put it back in :p
Thanks bud ! I'm enjoying doing little bits here and there to it :) hahaha I've done that before but just taken my time and taken some pictures before hand to make sure I don't put the n75 valve on the wrong way for example hahaha

Looking good mate and great work you are doing, it's a cracking car you have! That heat shield would look even better if was colour coded the same colour as the car

Car's looking really good mate. I've installed a double din in my car and it's definitely my favourite mod! I've got an outer CV boot to change, got any tips?

Thanks bud ! , I'm looking forward to fitting mine just waiting to get hold of a head unit as well,

there's a couple of good guides on here for outer removal, depending if you want to take the drive shaft out or not, only thing I'd say is if your taking the drive shaft out grab an inner cv boot kit as well just in case it looks in bad nick when your doing the outer and do them at the same time....... It's a messy PITA as it is without having to take it apart again 3 months later haha

Nothing that exciting but I serviced my 007 valve

Came with a different piston, this one has a rubber seal fixed to the bottom of it.

With that added seal and the new grease/UN scored piston its so much snappier and I'd assume less leaky.

Then I got carried away and bought some toys.....

Front and rear ebc dimpled and grooved discs and ebc yellow stuff pads

Also a 3" down pipe and decat. 3" all the way which is pretty nice. Only thing it means is I now NEED ;) a cat back....the misses will probably ignore me for a week but worst things have happened at sea. Haha

Sorry didn't see this bud ! Dimensions or sort of here. But you've gotta adapt it to fit. Get some cardboard and make one out of that first then transfer over to material. I originally found the below image on another readers ride and based mine on that

So been a productive couple of weeks. Heat wrapped my downpipe, 5m of titanium wrap and some stainless cable ties, just need to get it on,

Absolutely love it. Really finished of the car, and while I had the glove box out I fixed my wiring for my gauges and swapped my volt gauge out for an oil temp gauge. Red back light, white face and self painted black ring, installing the sender was a little bit of a pig.. but while I did that I replaced my broken dipstick tube.

In all im Really happy with the car at the moment, running like clock work... Going to be planning a trip to either longlife exhausts on the A44 for a custom 3" catback or one from cobra up north while I visit family over Christmas.
Fingers crossed I get an intercooler from Santa.....

Not updated for a while but over Christmas I fitted a "wellycooler" defiantly freed everything up and feels a lot happier to pull up through the revs, I'm set on a stage 2 so just got to fit the 3" downpipe and decat along with finding a suitable catback and I'm good to go.

Aiming to then sort out the cosmetics, front and rear anti roll bars, coilovers or springs and shocks, Polly Bush front and rear end.

anyway here's a couple pics of the welly

I also managed to get the fog lights back in, only problem I have is the bumper doesn't sit anyway near as neatly as it did before I took it off, when the weather improves I'll try and adjust might need trimming somewhere....

Not a lot has happened recently, had to sort out some maintenance so oil, filters and spark plugs, I also did an n249 bypass as it seemed to be holding back, seemed much happier after, also I like the red.

Just bought an Audi TT strut brace to mod and fit, when I take that to get powder coated ill be taking the rocker cover as well as some other odds and sods,

Bought a 90° o2 spacer for the decat, still waiting to get a 3" catback then I'm sorted and stage 2 ready

Got a HID kit coming as well as some carbon wrap, thinking of playing about with the door handles and badges.... See what happens

On the look out for some coilovers, sadly been let down twice in the last couple of weeks. Something will turn up soon though.

Excuse that it needs a wash.

Looking forward to receiving some poly bushed wish bones and coilovers.... That's the next bit of fun !
