Hi All,
i have a 2011 FR with RNS315 sat nav system...

Its probably been asked numerous times before but i cant find the right answer...

Have people fitted an aftermarket (Vibe Slick) amp and sub to the RNS system or does it require an aftermarket stereo?

If it can be done what adapters are needed to do so?

thanks
adam

Not got any pictures of the installation as I paid halfords £50 to fit it. I took a look and couldn't see an easy way through the bulkhead so didn't want to waste my time. Plus if I break any plastic trims I'm gonna have to pay - that's my money gone straight away.

It sounds good actually, the rest of the speakers could still do with some more power really but overall I'm happy!

That's the best I have at the minute!

Jarre do you know how they linked the amp up to the back of the HeadUnit? Everything else i can do just unsure as to what needs to be used to connect it up

thanks

no one said is wasn't possible.

He asked if anyone had linked an amp to an RNS315, I answered his question.

Yeah as above you an input converter such as http://www.halfords.com/sat-nav-aud...ories/autoleads-pc1-601-line-output-connector (cheaper ones available elsewhere).

The that converter will splice into your speaker lines and create the RCA outputs that you would have on an aftermarket stereo. Then it's just as any other install :)

I just have a vibe set. I got the vibe wiring kit but the RCA cable broke in it so halfords replaced it with a vibe RCA cable but it was a white one rather than grey. I managed to get the cover to clip on around the RCA but now over time the cable has bent slightly so it goes on properly now :)

Ah ok. I have ordered a set with a 90 degree bend on them so fingers crossed will fit.

We're did you get your wired remote from for the sub ?

Yeah should be here mid week so will get to listen to it. All the other cables are in and put thefast fit plug in as well.just the rca and then pop the fuse in and should be away
