Which Cupra should I get?

Hey guys, i'm so happy with my Mk2 i've decided I want a Cupra... bit stumped about all the models and versions!

Wondered which model you guys would get with a £12k (ish) budget?!

Facelift Cupra would be my choice. Could also get a K1 for that money, but that is a prefacelift with a body kit. Both have the same engine, but the facelift models have improved ride and interior quality. The Cupra R has an extra 15bhp and 35lbft over the Cupra, but costs a bit more than 12k.

Same as pre facelift, 240bhp around to 300 remapped to stage one. They have the same engine.

R has 25 bhp more ( (240 vs 265 )
Early R's are showing up at £10k but vary in condition and miles. Later ones have all the toys as standard.

For 12K you could get a top condition Seat Approved 2010/11 facelift Cupra with around 30-40k miles, with a nice warranty and 30 days money back and probably your first 2 services thrown in for a song. Plus some tax and floor mats, the usual stuff you haggle on.
Probably an even better deal if you go private or non-Seat dealer.

No no no you poor deluded soul...... Cupra R fastest colour Speed Blue. In the Mk 3 is red the fastest. Technically proven. Scientifically too.
White is only good for wedding cars and who wants to get to a wedding quickly?

Red with the back seats down gives an extra 10bhp, everybody knows that.

you still missing the R mate? Have to admit speed blue was a colour I'd have got but nothing decent turned up so got the Candy.

Yes mate, still miss the Blue beast, sat nav that works & a media system that doesn't keep losing me iPod.... but otherwise it's all good.......
Oh yes and a car I can drive at night........
