I'll second that...
On another note what use is the Middle Button ? other than flashing the Hazards twice ??
unlocks the boot without having too unlock the rest of the car
And if you hold it down for a few seconds it will release the boot catch so you don't have to push in the seat badge, handy if you got your hands full as you can lift/open the tailgate with your foot
Interesting, it doesn't seem to work that way on mine. Even if I 'pop' the boot using the button on the fob, it's still latched and I still have to open it with the Seat badge.
if you hold the lock button down for 2 secs it will fold in the mirrors if you've got them, and have ticked to option in the setup menu.

I am too confused how the alarm works..
It went on once when I went to pay for diesel and I left the car unlock as my parents were in the car.

A second press on the lock button should leave the car locked but disable the interior movement sensors and also release the deadlock (this means the car can then be opened from the inside handles which it normally can't if locked with just one press on the button which automatically applies the deadlock).

Funny enough the car doesn't automatically lock itself up. If I would have done that in my 2004 Corolla, the car would lock itself up after 1 minute or so...

Can be set to lock automatically when it reaches 15 mph, as mine came like that. If it is the same set up as the Ibiza I had before, you set it on by holding down the locking button on the drivers door till it makes a clunk, holding it again turns it off.

The car doesn't automatically lock itself while stationary with the engine off in case you accidentally leave the keys in the car. However, they forgot to take that precaution with the boot unlock button feature where the boot unlocks once on the middle button but then locks again as soon as you shut it even if you left the keys in there so as already mentioned, be careful if you use that particular feature. It might be possible to configure the doors to auto-lock using VCDS but I've not looked.
After you close the door and remotely lock the car, if you then remotely unlock the car but don't open any doors it should automatically re-lock itself again after about 30 seconds. This is done in case the unlock button accidentally got pressed in your trouser pocket or bag without you realising.
The KESSY feature used on VW and Audi models is pretty clever as it knows the location of the key and prevents either the doors or the boot being locked from the outside if it detects that a key is anywhere inside the the car. Unfortunately our inferior SEATs don't get that option.

That's because SEAT owners are too clever to leave their keys in the car, aren't we.
My Suzuki swift I had was the same. Wouldn't lock if the keys were inside.

what did you think of the suzuki swift i have been looking at the swift sport nice car been for test drive and liked it but not sure
Mine was the older shape one 58 reg in blue. 1.5 petrol. Loved it. Loved the keyless entry and engine start. Nice little car. Sold mine to buy the Leon FR because I wanted something a little bigger and faster.

Really nice, great fun, neighbour has one and loves it. I can sure see why. If I wanted a small town car that would be my first choice, think you get 5yr warranty too.
