Where do you buy your 507.00 oil?

Always worth checking with TPS too, sometimes have good deals on the Quantum Longlife III.

Yes, I do use ebay for many things, however I am concerned about counterfeiting with oil, as it would be so easy..

Thanks so much for pointing that out - I saw ebay and didn't look any further, however as it is a main dealer that inspires confidence

I've never had any dealings with comline products I must admit but I like to use products I trust and preferably know the origins.

Every brand caters for the correct vw specs these days. everyone has their preferred brands.

vw themselves used to use castrol quite frequently but when they introduced quantum it changed to fuchs.

Most seats used to have a "seat recommends Shell helix" sticker on the slam panel but I've never seen shell oil in any of the workshops or on any of the shelves in the parts departments of the many dealers I've visited. maybe they were given a back hander to put those stickers on?

Every brand does cater for the spec required, but some only just meet the spec and some exceed it, problem the public have is finding out which ones are which.

My Seat's both have Repsol recommend. My local dealer used to use Castrol and then Quantum for a short period and then wised up to the benefits of Shell, which exceeds vw's oil spec..
