Car needs to go to the dealership. Airbag error message and airbag light stuck on. Dealer ran a check and many codes popped up. Gotta wait for a full day slot.

So has the dealer given you your car back with a faulty airbag system, or is it now sitting in the dealers with you in a courtesy car?

They said the codes from the scan were multiple and needed a day as a minimum to sort. They did mention that it was related to the airbag so it shouldn't involve anything else.

Anyhow they could take my car for the full day next week and I can't. I kept the car and I'm driving it with the error code. They did mention that in case of a collision the air bag could not work, and I'm ok with that. I'll drive extra careful.

Airbags are a legal requirement on a modern car and a dealer should not be allowing a car back out on the road with them disabled for any reason.

Oooooh nice. How did you do that? I was of the understanding (mainly from posts on Briskoda) that there was very little success rate when doing this via VCDS.

I would like this on mine. What steps did you follow? Does this only work when lane assist is also active or is the camera on regardless?

I followed the instructions here, there were some words I needed to think of alternative translations for towards the end of the sequence, but I'm planning on documenting in English shortly for everyone's benefit.

I leave the lane assistance on all the time, but I'd assume it would work all of the time, There is an extra option in the CAR Driver Assistance setup menu that allows you to turn it on and off.

There are reports of its limitations, but I thought it would be nice to see those for myself, so far, its not missed a single speed indication sign.

got a spoiler fot the wife's.. not sure on what colour to do it do I do it red and black on the underside or do I do it black. But would have to follow the black onto the tailgate and if I do it black do I do the sides red to keep in line with the roof

Can source it half the Price the dealer wants and my Brother is a sprayer so colour not an issue

It's cost me £140 and it's a genuine seat part.. Holding it against the car it fits perfectly so if you can get it less than that let us know paints not an issue for me mirror and front bumper only cost £ 40

They are superb prices may i ask where from, I haven't bought a Leon yet and the lloks are a massive part in the decision so if I can source the Sports styling parts as cheap as poss it will make the search easier.

Legal requirements??? If it were illegal to drive without airbags there wouldn't be switches that allow you to turn them off..

From the dealer retail price is £209 Inc vat so as you all say the dealer ain't so overpriced is it... l just get staff discount and the parts manager some loving

No mate miles from Manchester Ipswich have only looked at painted fitted prices and Sg Petch at the mo but obviously no staff discount ............
