Brush the paint on. However, I would recommend thinning with Hammerite paint thinners, it's much too thick as it comes out of the tin - would be hard work and leave brush marks.

I used a 1/2" soft chisel shaped artists brush. You can hold the brush steady and turn the disc to do the edges.

Spraying would require far too much masking. The job was much quicker and easier than I was expecting.


I found the best way to leave no brush marks were to use a new brush between coats (only found that out because the brush I had been using had picked up some brake dust and was leaving black spots so I binned it and used a new one). Masking did take ages , but faster drying time on the spinning bits. Hammerite takes ages to dry and it'll spin off if car is used too soon. Even using it on the calipers , took ages between coats (think it's 4hrs between) so if you are doing it at nights like I did it's a couple days job.
