Engine idle

Could anyone be so kind to make a recording of there engine please? can you rev the engine not hard say 2k - 3k as well ... strange request I know but I have a noise from mine that has been there since I bought the car and because I'm not used to the new common rail engine noise just want to see if it's normal or not. Can't find another exeo in my area with the same engine code 2.0 tdi caga or I'd go down that root.

The noise is strange like can't describe it couldn't say it was a fault.

You could try tracking down a B7 A4 with your engine - try ASN?
