Yeh that's a price most people pay, I think AMD are £300/£400 not sure but I paid £150. You will see if there any good when you arrive, if they take your car out fo a spin first to log all data, presure test ur engine and look over it, dyno run b4 and after, then you no there good. If they dont do any of that then it's a hit & a miss if your map is gonna be any good.

Trl developments did my mates skyline.
He had a bad map by another place and this guy sorted it out for him.
Plus my brother used to work there so should be safe

Nothing wrong with the airbox setup until you get to big power. It all depends if you're after more noise or not really, if so then get an open cone, if not then stick with the airbox with a decent panel filter and put the cash towards a remap. That will give you lots more power and totally transforms the car, no extra mods are needed for stage 1 either, just the remap itself.

I had a K&N Panel in mine and i smoothed my airbox.. as soon as i did this it made much more intake noise...when i switched to a cone it made it even louder and the standard bosch recirculation valve is more than loud enough.. a DV just throws up error codes and sometimes a split valve does the same. in my opinion the panel with a smoothed airbox is best as i noticed how smooth everything became after doing that, especially if you do a N249 valve delete.

It helps with some hesitation coming on to boost. If you look inside any standard airbox its not just an empty box, there are all sorts of risen bits of plastic and things, if you take a dremel or multitool and cut them out and smooth out the airbox it makes the air flow more freely and helps with any restriction....i felt the difference anyways, more induction noise too..

It's the SAI (Secondary Air Intake) I believe, only found on LCs not LCRs. If you're going to remove the airbox and fit an open cone etc. then you'll either need to add a small filter to the end of the SAI (28mm neck I think? Can look for moped filters on eBay) or remove the whole SAI system. For the latter, there are lots of articles on this forum about how to do it. Have a search.

I don't haha mine is painted red and black..You could do the sai delete.. I've heard that it can cause problems on cold days etc as it is there to serve a purpose.. A lot of people have seen no issues though.. Good to get rid of a load of piping though..

Auto sole mate and a good hard time cleaning it lol, I've not done any other mod to the engine, keeping it looking stranded, just DV and induction kit, don't believe in taking things out that's not meant to if it was meant to they wouldn't have put it in when building the car

It's good for the standard look however if you replace the lower engine cover you'll achieve that look. It does however remove the risk of a lot of oem pipe work leaking under boost/vaccuum conditions.

I don't have the engine cover under the car mate, plus under my car is spanking clean also, people always wonder why I clean my engine so much I tell them if it's dirty and you have a leak or a problem it's gonna be much harder to find that leak or problem with a dirty engine

stick on a hybrid K03S ive pretty done the most I can do and im pretty happy with it,250bhp 290tqs the power is pretty good, seen off the new clio rs pretty easy
plus there is a small bit of turbo whistle
