New Cupra has arrived

Ordered about 3 months ago. Originally given a delivery date of September but luckily it has arrived much sooner.

Got a great lease deal that I couldn't turn down although do have to sell a lovely z4 coupe but think this will be a great replacement. No one interested by any chance lol

Absolute bog standard car but as it has virtually everything standard anyway there isn't really anything else it needs - although a panoramic roof would've been great.

Also for anyone that has newly had theirs delivered, I have Pirelli p zero tryres on mine and wondering if anyone else has found the same? Was expecting the continental sc5 although reading up it seems like the Pirelli is a brand new version of an older tyre so will have to see how it performs and report back.

Can't wait to get the running in period out of the way! Did most people do about 600 miles and then let rip? Seems a waste at the moment - might need to do a long trip to get it run in lol

Make sure oil is up to temp, then enjoy. Don't mollycoddle it and give it plenty of variation in revs :whistle

Have fun with the new car, consensus now seems to be give the beans right away although I was a bit more gentle last time. I'll be waiting to hear how you get on with the Pirellis. I swap my 280 for a new 290 in a couple of weeks, the dealer mailed me some pics yesterday, once I realised just how lurid Alor Blue looks compared to current Ice Silver I noticed my car has P Zeros on it too, and I was also expecting/hoping for Contis. TBH, they can't be worse than the Bridgestones (please somebody confirm that! ) my car has been transformed since switching to Avon ZZ5s.

Yeah looks like we are the 1st with the pirellis so will need to feed back.

Had mine 2 weeks with the p zeros seems ok but does wheel hope bad in the wet if I'm not steady setting off

On the way home last night I got a small amount of wheel hop a couple of times also so may have to keep an eye out for that.

I've also got an annoying noise coming from behind my head when driving. Almost sounds as if the door is not closed properly or the lining in the door may not be aligned properly. It's not too bad and only noticeable over about 50mph but has anyone had anything similar?

My Cupras 2 weeks old now and came with conti's, Wheel hop in the wet or dry if I really stomp my foot. Still learning the sweet spot.

No noise on mine.
