Got mine booked in for the 2nd time for this fault next Monday. First time in they said the Tec that looked at the car agreed there was a fault and had done a bleed of the system and it seems to have cured it but 'see how it is'. It was no different on the way home! Spoke to an ex seat Tec yesterday and he said there's been a few hydraulic faults he's come across. One was a sticking master cylinder and the other was an inline valve (mounted on the n/s of the bulkhead) weeping fluid. He also said another cause of the pedal sticking someone had come across a faulty return spring on the pedal box. I'll see what happens Monday..............

Cheers for that link but no I don't think it's the same thing. I fitted an ecs clutch bleeder block to my S3 8p that in effect does the same thing. It does improve pedal feel though. Left my car running to de ice the other morning and when I went to drive off I couldn't get 1st or reverse! Went ok after pumping the pedal up so there's definitely a problem. Only time it's done that though.

Just had a call from the dealer to say after contacting Germany for advice, as they didn't know what was causing the fault. They want my car for a week so they can take the gear box out for further investigation. A new rear light has also been ordered for it due to condensation.

Just dropped the car off at the dealer as they are replacing the clutch. Fingers crossed that sorts it out! Until it's done I have the joy of using this 1.2tsi beast ...........

Got my car back on Friday with a new clutch, flywheel and release bearing all changed under warranty. Happy to say problem solved

So is the clutch delay at higher speeds on fast changes in higher gears a feature? I have this.
I wouldn't say so as since I've had the new clutch fitted mine doesn't do it. I was told the fault causing mine was weakened spring forks on the clutch cover.

It doesn't do it with normal driving. The only time I've had it happen was quick changes a higher speeds from 3rd gear onwards.

That's how mine was, only did it on quick changes when driving fast

I tried this again and could only reproduce it when at speed on the motorway. Did yours do it at all speeds?
This delay valve removal seems to improve feel rather than a delay with the peddle actually rising after being depressed.

Didn't matter what speed or gear. Just when doing a quick shift high in the rev range.

I've not really had the chance to do any launches. I'll find somewhere quiet tonight and try it from low speeds (ish) high revs.
