I have a mongoose cat back on mine. Sounds good when on the power and don't even notice it on the motorway. The finish seems pretty standard really

Have custom from Custom Pipes Doncaster. 6x4 Slash Cut Oval.
£350 now.
The guy knows his stuff.
I'm a fussy carpenter and everything has to be just so ( even gaps , level etc )
Told Ryan the owner it had to fit right.
He called me into the workshop. Showed me everything propped up in place.
We agreed it look good and he welded from there.
Excellent steel used. Mine is 8 years old and every year my mechanic tells me it's in great nick.
Sounds brilliant on the gas and on over run. But drop the revs and burbles nicely.
A daily treat, no need for a stereo. Great sound track.
If you want it quiet then he doesn't remove one of the silencers.
I want one for my LCR but AMD who I want to map with are doing half price map ( normally £300 I think ) with a Cobra cat back exhaust £350..
I'd save money as Doncaster is a long way from me. And 150off the map!
Don't know which way t go as I haven't heard the Cobra.

I want it to sound as standard as possible, I looked at a genuine replacement but it was 550 quid, Doncaster is miles from here xxx

There will be someone near you that will do you a custom for good money.
That was why I ended up with custom.
Big names want big money most of the time. And standard from the Stealers are very pricy.
Plus don't look good either.

Called one of the local custom exhaust builders near me

Full 3" system turbo back looking at £780 with lifetime guarantee

I just fitted cobra cat back a res one so not loud just gives a nice tone low down and a bit louder high up and as it's stainless grantee for life and no booming

Miltek resonated was pretty much standard noise wise when I put it on.

After I fitted the pipewerx downpipe the noise increased a bit but not too much.

Having a longlife custom half system put on it

Looking into a full system as you only want to do it once. May as well try and get as much punch for my pound as poss.

I recently had a resonated Cobra cat back fitted. Including p&p it was a little under £500. It's an absolute beaut, looks and sounds great and the seat specialist who fitted it only charged an hours labour; they told me it was one of the easiest aftermarket mods they've ever fitted.

I may save a few quid and do the same. If you purchase at AMD at the mo I think it's £420ish and then half price Stage one map offer so £150 for the map.
Thinking of going down this route now.

£403 fully fitted and half price remap

Cat back is ok option but worth looking out for full system second hand as so many Leon Cupra R's being stripped.

I picked up a full non-res. Milltek exhaust (turbo downpipe, sports cats and full cat back system) for a shade under £500 + £100 for fitting by my local mechanic (which I was told was a bas#ard to do as the turbo is not easy to get to the bolts).

My Milltek is very quiet really but has a nice tone to it even at high cruising speeds, I've heard Cobra are louder.

I would recommend getting rid of standard cat's unless your just after noise or replacing a knacked original exhaust + get it mapped to benefit properly, these cars do love a remap :)

AMD are worth using for these cars as highly experienced.

Last point of note, i've no idea how people. pass an MOT without some cat's fitted, I struggled to pass with cat's (need exhaust to be V.HOT)
