I've just seen this article about an update to the SEAT DriveApp for Android Auto, which might be of interest:

If you search from google Seat Driveapp and look APK websites then from there you can download it directly. I installed it, but I did not get mirrorlink working (android auto will take over). But APK version is the latest, not the same as the Google Store is currently offering.

Do you have a link to the APK or anything?

You're correct, current app on the Play Store is from 31st May, and is version 2.5.2. But, even with a fairly broad search through APK websites, I can't find a newer version that 2.5.2, and having downloaded both the one from the app store and one from an APK website, I can confirm they're both exactly the same.

Does the newer version actually exist or is it a fable?

Sorry but I think 2.5.2 is the latest one now (looks same as from that article).
I downloaded from the store ver 1.xx and this was very old. 2.5.2 looks much better and has all the new things. APK was newer a few days ago, but now the app store is showing the same version. As I understand from that article they will roll out new version within few weeks, first was Spain.

I downloaded off Google play but can't get it to connect to the car. The button on the app that says "start app" takes me through some promo slides and then just back to the start again!!!

I managed to download this app this morning and had it connected to my FR. It works really well.

Maybe a silly question but have you connected your phone via USB whilst doing the set up? It should then connect and prompt the continuation of the process.

Yep had it connected up, ran through the slides then nothing. Wl give it another go, the classic off and on again might do the trick.

Yeah, that might do it. I don't think it's an app bug as it worked for me.

Yeah, that might do it. I don't think it's an app bug as it worked for me.

Tried it again and it worked this time although I'm a little disappointed to be fair. I couldn't get access to my Spotify or anything like you can on the Android auto which I thought you might be able to as it advertises as being a mirror of my phone. It also cuts out as much or maybe even more than the Android auto too. I did like the graphs showing speed, rpm and consumption as live data though, that was pretty cool.

To get Spotify/Deezer working you need an app called rock scout (I think that is what it's called). Run it first then you can select the SEAT app. I'm a bit surprised it cuts out on you more, mines the opposite.

It did not worked on my FR. It says loading on AA screen nothing else. There is a progress bar looks like frozen.

Cheers mate, will give this a go and see how it fairs on my commute home. Is the cutting out anything to do with the phone losing signal ad there are a few black spots on my way to and from work where signal is either weak or non existent.
