Hello,

Having owned two Ibizas' over the last 17 years. I am going to be ordering a Leon this weekend.

Looking at the FR trim with the 18" machined alloys.

In terms of the optional extras, what options did you purchase and is there any extras you wished you ordered but didn't?

Any advice welcome.

Thanks

P

Adaptive cruise and heated seats are 2 that I don't think I'll ever regret adding.

Both worth the money IMO.

The swanky wheels I added look lovely and make it my car rather than just another Leon. Like them, not sure worth the extra.

I thought about adding the body kit, but the dealer wanted £3k for that.... Had it been £500 I might've done it.
Still think that was right decision.

Edit:
Someone mentioned the audio upgrade, I got that too and glad I did

Ordered leather/winter pack, sunroof and SEAT sound system on both my previous Leon FR and new Cupra.

The SEAT sound system is quite a cheap upgrade and does make a difference if you like music with bass/low down frequencies.

The sunroof looks great on the car, but doesn't get used as much as I would like due to the weather.

The leather is personal as it is warm in Summer and cold in Winter (hence why they throw in the Winter pack with it), but I have always liked leather as its hard wearing and spills wipe off easily. The Alcantara looks great till you drip your KFC grease onto it, but look after it and it should be fine.

The only option I missed out on and couldn't make my mind was the KESSY/wireless charger. On the DSG you have to have both and I didn't want the KESSY bit after seeing how quick it took an expert to get into and drive away an Audi S5 with KESSY - frightening. I wanted to charging part but I didn't have a phone that would use this at the time of ordering, but now I do!

No regrets with any of them and I sold my FR to the first person to see it. The more toys you have the more easily it will sell after. He told me my car was top of the list and he didn't need to go and see any others.

If you go for FR spec then I would go for the front parking sensors as I hear these are no longer standard. Worth checking the price difference to these v/s the camera pack.

Have fun!

I order another Fr and my options are Sunroof, Full leds, 18'performance alloy, Black Alcantara Sport Seats, Navigation System, Park Assistance+Camera, Kessy, System Soud Seat and body kit)

I not put the wireless charger on the list, it's cool but i dont need.

Thanks, i looked at the sound pack previously but noticed it came with a sub, which I am not sure about.

The sub stay hidden, my primary option for me is system sound. If you like music you need to put.

Good to know thanks. I am going for the space spacer wheeel too!

Wish I had got the adaptive cruise, didn't think it'd be necessary when I ordered but bloody wish I had!!!

I've got the convenience pack with auto lights, wipers and dimming rear view mirror, if never be without it now. I went with 18s but not the machined ones, 18s definitely loom better on the car imo.

I have an ST with the Tech Pack (Full LED lights and upgraded media / sat nav system). In addition I went for:
- Pan Roof
- Convenience Pack Plus - came with interior LEDs
- Camera Pack - came with front sensors
- Space Saver spare wheel
- Tow bar prep

Love the Pan Roof, lets sooo much light into the cabin, though like others, it doesn't get opened that much esp now we are coming into colder months! Convenience Pack is great and couldn't do without all the auto stuff - have had similar things on previous cars.

You may get a spare with Sound Pack but not sure...

I ordered an FR a few days ago. Also coming from a line of 4 Ibiza's with a 1 series in there aswell.

I've ordered FR 1.4 tsi 125 with tech pack, Monsoon Grey, 18 inch non machined wheels, winter pack and spare wheel.

I got a great deal on it including an extra £1000 from SEAT as a loyalty bonus! It basically paid for most of my options!

They have one ordered to be built in week 47 which they are trying to get my spec put onto - if that happens then it'll be here early December.

i regret i did not get the pan roof instead of driver assistance pack & sat nav... they are useless...

After sitting in a couple Leon ST's the Panoramic sunroof became a must option for me. It was so dark especially in the back.

That would be a great turnaround if things go smoothly, seeing as you ordered so recently.

Im lucky i found a car with all the extras you could get including the bodykit but the option i couldn't live without is the heated seats oh and the pan roof (on hot days)

I would highly recommend the reversing camera. It's the first time I've had one but I wouldn't go without one now. It's not an expensive option these days.

Thanks for all the replies. It’s been interesting looking at the options you’ve had or wish you had.

I am going to the dealer tomorrow and going with my original options plus after deliberating the convenience pack plus.

This made sound like a stupid question so forgive me, what is the difference between the “standard Navigation system” and “Navigation High”

I plan on using the car play feature and using Waze or google maps etc. Do you foresee any issues with this?

Thanks

Andrew

Definitely get the convenience pack it makes every so simple and you completely avoid wipers either being on too fast or too slow as they work when they need to. Convenience pack also means you get all led interior and boot lights too which imo is a massive plus.

Thanks R4CK5,

Any idea about the Sat Nav query?

Depending on the costs tomorrow I may also swap out the space saver wheeel and go with the upgraded sound system which also includes a spare 18” wheel.
