Evening all, hoping someone may have found a way to do what I'm after.

I'd like to be able to turn the screen off, to the clock for instance, without turning the whole unit off. I'm sure in my 16' plate FR there was a timeout setting or equivalent that, when selected, after 10 seconds or so the screen would go blank. Can't find said setting now though. Any ideas? Car is '17 290 (with sat nav high if that makes a difference.)

Like just having the plain black screen with the clock that appears when the system is turned off. I have OBD11 pro if it's something that can be coded.

Thanks in advance.

This is something you can do in the settings in my 66 plate Ibiza Cupra, I can't remember the exact location in the settings but I'm pretty sure it's under display and brightness

That's promising to hear. I can't imagine it would be a feature they would choose to remove. Will have another search. Thanks.

My own has the option to turn the screen off after ten seconds but it won't display the clock as an option. 2017 Cupra 300.

I've been getting way too familiar with this timeout setting since I located it, as the flippin' setting keeps either cancelling itself, or as happened last night just flat out being ignored :/

Anyway, on my '15 Leon Mk3 centre screen it's under:
Menu -> Setup -> Screen -> Switch off display in 10 seconds
(Which was unset this morning as I type this, but set when I was driving home last night - looks like 'save settings' has issues?)

Can't see any reason for them to move that around too much, so hopefully that gets you close!

Same screen has "Show clock in standby mode", which should do the other part of what you want.

Thanks for this. I definitely remember those options on my FR but couldn't find it in my current Cupra. (And I keep forgetting to look for it everytime I drive anywhere!) Will look this evening.

Checked this morning and right enough the boxes are both there so thank you.

It does seem that the 'show clock in standby' only applies to when the system is off rather than just the screen as it still only goes black. This is still much more preferable however.
